Abstract: In general, techniques are described for audio editing of higher-order ambisonic audio data. A device comprising a memory and one or more processors may be configured to perform the techniques. The memory may be configured to store a higher order ambisonic (HOA) representation of the audio object. The one or more processors may be configured to add a source tail to the HOA representation of the audio object by storing one or more spherical harmonic (SH) basis functions associated with the audio object to a buffer.

  • Publication number: 20130013515
Abstract: A secure terminal, such as one used for point-of-sale debit card transactions, has a secure enclosure containing some or all of the terminal components, and is configured to send sensitive and non-sensitive data to a display located outside of the secure enclosure. The terminal includes a source chip that protects data sent from the terminal to the display. The source chip protects the data by detecting that the display is connected, authenticating the display as a device that is authorized to receive the data, and encrypting the data before transmission. Preferably, the display is a commercially-available consumer electronic device, such as a television or computer monitor. The source chip communicates with a receiver chip on the display to perform the detection, authentication, and encryption methods of the invention.

  • Patent number: 8303626
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device comprising a shaped shoulder piece to rest on the shoulders of a person to be treated, and a shaped head piece to be laid on it, as support for the chin and two bottom points of the rear lower edge of the skull. This ensures a three-point support of the head on the top side of this shaped head piece. Further, the device comprises a lifting mechanism, which is inserted between the back of the shaped shoulder piece and the shaped head piece. This lifting mechanism is simply a pump in the form of a bellows with a one-way valve for discharge, by which the air cushion can be inflated and discharged arbitrarily.

  • Patent number: 8210861
Abstract: A connector assembly including a first connector configured to be movably mounted to a support structure and having a first mating terminal. The first connector is movable with respect to the support structure in an axial direction along an alignment axis. The connector assembly also includes a second connector that is configured to be movably mounted to a support panel and has a second mating terminal. The second connector is movable with respect to the support panel in a radial direction relative to an alignment axis. The second connector shifts in the radial, direction to align the first and second mating terminals when the first and second connectors engage each other in a misaligned manner. The first connector moves between a projected position and a retracted position along the alignment axis to facilitate establishing a communication pathway between the first and second mating terminals.

  • Patent number: 8038470
Abstract: A connector assembly for use with a compressible gasket includes a housing having a mating end and a cable end, the housing being configured to hold a contact. The connector assembly also includes a deflectable shroud extending from the housing rearward of the cable end to the compressible gasket. The shroud surrounds a hollow chamber that is configured to receive the compressible gasket. The shroud is deflectable between an expanded state and a collapsed state, wherein a volume of the hollow chamber is reduced when in the collapsed state as compared to the expanded state. The shroud compresses the gasket when in the collapsed state.
