    Abstract: A friction fit fastening device in which a stretchable elongated strap applies radial tension to a body limb or the like to restrict blood flow or to secure objects to the body. The strap can be pulled taut to a desired tension and than held with a fastener when the strap is returned to its natural state. The strap is prevented from slipping because of friction applied to the strap by the fastener. The strap can be easily adjusted or removed by pulling on the strap which decreases the friction applied to the strap by the fastener.
