  • Publication number: 20200116227
Abstract: A mass damper system has a damper mass carrier and a damper mass movably received at the damper mass carrier a lubricant supply, a lubricant collector, and a lubricant distributor radially offset to one another with the damper mass carrier, the lubricant supply arranged at a shorter radial distance from a central axis than the lubricant collector, and the lubricant distributor arranged at a greater radial distance from the central axis than the lubricant collector to collect lubricant supplied by the lubricant supply and to guide the lubricant through the lubricant distributor to the damper mass. A stop arrangement limits a deflection path of the damper mass relative to the damper mass carrier, and the lubricant distributor has a lubricant feed that leads from the lubricant collector to a constructional unit requiring intensive lubrication.

  • Publication number: 20200003738
Abstract: A portable gas analysis device having a separating column and a detector. The separating column is composed as a multi-capillary unit from parallel individual capillaries and, depending on the length, is bent into a compact shape, preferably even wound into multiple turns. A thermally conductive casing and a thermal stabilizing device are provided for the multi-capillary unit. The thermal stabilizing device comprises a temperature sensor, a heating element and control electronics. The casing protects the sensitive multi-capillary unit from mechanical actions; it acts as a protective space. The temperature-controlled casing also forms a space in which uniform and controlled conditions prevail and which in particular is isolated from the temperature and humidity of the environment, allowing reliable measurements outside a laboratory environment, in the field. This double effect of the casing for the capillaries in conjunction with the compact dimensions forms the true essence of the invention.

  • Patent number: 8689663
Abstract: An anti-theft bicycle pedal is disclosed. The mounting end of the pedal is shaped with polygonal faces and/or splines to match an opening on the crank so that when the mounting end of the pedal axle is inserted into the matching opening and locked into place, the pedal cannot be removed without an unlocking agent. With an unlocking agent, the pedal is easily removed without tools. The pedal can be reversibly mounted on the crank so that the bicycle cannot be pedaled away, or so that the pedal can be stowed during transport or storage. The pedal cannot rotate in the crank as a result of polygonal faces and/or splines on the mounting end that resist rotation. A physical stop can be used to control the symmetry of insertion into the opening which facilitates reversible mounting.
