Patent number: 11001141Abstract: A control system includes a joystick and a computer. The joystick includes a joystick body, a cover hingedly coupled to the joystick body and movable between an open position and a closed position, and an input located on the joystick body. The input is exposed by the cover when the cover is in the open position and concealed by the cover when the cover is in the closed position. The computer is programmed to enter a first mode in response to the cover moving from the open position to the closed position, to enter a second mode in response to both the cover moving from the closed position to the open position and the input being activated, and to remain in a same of the first and second modes in response to the cover moving from the closed position to the open position without the input being activated.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2019Date of Patent: May 11, 2021Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Vishal Vinayak Nageshkar, Sangram Tamhankar, Jonathan Paul Weiler, Christian J. Patent number: 10807505Abstract: A seating assembly includes a shell assembly having a seat base coupled with a seatback. A base assembly is operably coupled with the shell assembly. The base assembly includes an outer portion defining an opening and an engagement slot. An inner portion is positioned through the opening of the outer portion. The inner portion includes a sidewall defining a receiving well. A barrel is positioned around the inner portion. The barrel defines a track extending helically from a lower end of the barrel to an upper end of the barrel. A bearing is received by the engagement slot, the receiving well, and the track. The bearing is movable along the engagement slot and the track simultaneously. An actuator is operably coupled with the barrel and is configured to rotate the barrel. Rotation of the barrel is configured to vertically translate the inner portion relative to the outer portion.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2019Date of Patent: October 20, 2020Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Christian J. Patent number: 4543682Abstract: In a windshield wiper device each wiper blade has a wiper element with a lip applied to a windshield to be wiped and a back portion held in an elastic rail made from elastic plastics. The wiper element is secured on the elastic rail against mutual displacement in the direction of elongation of the rail. A two-part yoke system which engages the elastic rail provides for a uniform distribution of contact pressures exerted on the wiper elements.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 1984Date of Patent: October 1, 1985Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Peter-Jurgen Kessler, Jurgen Mayer, Paul Weiler

Patent number: 4179767Abstract: A wiping arrangement for wiping a vehicle window has a wiper arm having a hook-shaped end part which bounds a gap, a wiping blade, and a connecting element for connecting the wiping blade with the wiper arm in response to sliding entry of the connecting element into the gap. The connecting element has two projecting portions which are biased apart from one another and toward sections of the wiper arm. One of the projecting portions of the connecting element has an engaging formation which engages with an engaging formation arranged in one of the arm sections of the wiper arm so as to provide the above-mentioned connection. The one projecting portion of the connecting element is provided with means for urging this portion apart from the other projecting portion so that the engaging formations become disengaged from one another and thereby the wiping blade can be removed from the wiper arm. The urging means extends outwardly beyond a face of the wiper arm which faces away from the vehicle window.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 1978Date of Patent: December 25, 1979Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Paul Weiler, Dietmar Brummer

Patent number: 4179766Abstract: A wiping arrangement for wiping a vehicle window has a wiper arm having a free bifurcated end portion which defines a gap extending lengthwise of the arm, a wiping blade, an element for connecting the wiping blade with the wiper arm in response to sliding entry of the element into the gap, and an element for disconnecting the wiping blade from the wiper arm to permit its separation therefrom. The connecting element has two projecting sections which are biased apart from one another and toward prong sections of the wiper arm. One of the projecting sections of the connecting element has an engaging formation which engages this an engaging formation of one of the prong sections of the wiper arm. Thereby the connecting element and the wiping blade secured thereto become connected with the wiper arm. The disconnecting element includes a handle provided on one projecting portion of the connecting element and extending outwardly beyond the prong sections of the wiper arm.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1978Date of Patent: December 25, 1979Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Paul Weiler, Dietmar Brummer
