  • Publication number: 20230195490
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system are provided. A machine hypervisor builds and enqueue a zeroize adjunct processor (AP) domain (ZAPD) common command request message to a target AP domain queue. Machine firmware validates the enqueued common command request message on the target AP domain queue. The machine firmware converts the ZAPD command request to the mode-specific form of the domain zeroize request. A command request message is executed at an AP crypto adapter of the target AP domain. Executing includes zeroizing a storage area of the AP crypto adapter. The execution results are returned to the machine firmware. The machine firmware converts the crypto card mode's ZAPD command reply message into the common ZAPD command reply message. The final execution results including the converted common ZAPD command reply message are returned to the machine hypervisor.

  • Publication number: 20130333651
Abstract: The invention provides a method of operating a diesel engine under oxygen-limited conditions such that the efficiency of the engine is at least 1% improved over the engine efficiency obtained when using a conventional crude-derived diesel fuel, said method including the combustion of a distillate fuel having a density of below 0.800 g.cm?3 in the engine. The invention extends to the use of a distillate fuel with a density less than 0.800 g.cm?3 (at 20° C.) for achieving increased engine efficiency when operating a diesel engine under oxygen-limited conditions, said use including combusting said fuel such that the efficiency of the engine is at least 1% improved over the engine efficiency obtained when using a conventional crude-derived diesel fuel.

  • Patent number: 7239729
Abstract: A circuit and method are provided for ensuring that a fingerprint sensor is started automatically when a finger is rested thereon such that a sufficiently contrasting image can be produced. A difference between a maximum and a minimum value of the sensor signals is generated wherein, if the difference is sufficiently large, indicating a sufficient contrast of an image to be produced, a normal scanning operation of the fingerprint sensor is initiated, thus ensuring that the complete fingerprint image is produced, a normal scanning operation of the fingerprint sensor is initiated, thus ensuring that the complete fingerprint images produced are of satisfactory quality.

  • Patent number: 7128092
Abstract: An arrangement for separating a fluid from admixtures has at least a first and a second separation unit. The separation units are of the type using an increased pressure or pressure difference for their function and have improved performance with increased pressure. The second separation unit is supplied with the fluid by a pressurising pump device. The first separation unit furnishes fluid of reduced concentration of admixtures to the pressurising pump device. It is supplied with supply fluid having reduced, the same, or elevated concentration of admixtures, preferably either taken directly from an outlet of the pump device or from an outlet of the second separation unit for fluid of increased concentration of admixtures. Overall, the concentration of admixtures in the fluid supplied to the second separation unit is decreased, leading to an increase in overall performance.

  • Patent number: 7054469
Abstract: A conductor layer is patterned into flat portions, for example of a fingerprint sensor that effects capacitive measurement. The conductor layer is fragmented in a lattice-like manner by cutouts so that an applied passivation layer rests on a base layer that is present beneath the conductor layer. The interlaminar shear strength of the passivation is increased in this way.
