Publication number: 20230338240Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus and method for a low-cost dispenser designed to control access to substances, including prescribed drugs. When used in conjunction with a prescribed drug, the dispenser controls access to the prescribed drug so that the patient only has access to the prescribed amount of drug at the prescribed frequency and for the prescribed period. The dispenser incorporates a dispenser housing, a rotatable insert, an insert locking system, and a processing system. The insert is rotatable and has compartments that are accessible through a slot in the dispenser housing. Two time periods are set through the processing system and control the insert rotation. The first time period sets the frequency, and the second time period sets the total time over which the frequency may occur.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 3, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Inventor: Bradley Paul Willett

Publication number: 20050255194Abstract: The invention provides a method, computer program and system by which a production schedule for a bakery is produced. The method involves reducing dough wastage by calculating a weight of dough for each bakery product which falls short of a full batch and combining that weight for the various bakery products formed from the same dough type to form batches comprising a whole number of bags of flour. This avoids the partial use of a bag of flour and reduces dough wastage.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2003Publication date: November 17, 2005Inventor: Paul Willett

Publication number: 20050170030Abstract: A dough moulder for producing moulded dough products of a desired size and/or shape. The moulder includes guide plate (155, 156) which are selectively insertable through respective pairs of slots (151, 152, 153) formed in a pressure rolling board (150). The guide plates (155, 156) extend through the pressure rolling board (150) to define a channel of selectable width depending on which pair of slots (151, 152, 153) is selected. The variable width channel enables dough products of a desired size and/or shape to be rolled.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2003Publication date: August 4, 2005Inventor: Paul Willett

Patent number: 6844452Abstract: A process for the co-production of a diol product (e.g. butane-1,4-diol) and a cyclic ether (e.g. tetrahydrofuran) by hydrogenation of an aliphatic diester or lactone feedstock (e.g. dimethyl or diethyl maleate), which contains a minor amount of acidic material, such as the corresponding monoester. The process utilizes a plurality of hydrogenation zones connected in series, each containing a charge of a granular ester hydrogenation catalyst. The catalyst in the first hydrogenation zone is tolerant of a minor amount of acidic material, while the catalyst in the second hydrogenation zone provides enhanced yields of cyclic ethers compared to the catalyst of the first hydrogenation zone. The catalyst in a third hydrogenation zone exhibits low selectivity towards conversion of the diester to at least one by product (e.g. 2-4?-hydroxybutoxy-tetrahydrofuran).Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2000Date of Patent: January 18, 2005Assignee: Davy Process Technology Ltd.Inventors: Michael Anthony Wood, Paul Willett, Robert Wild, Stephen William Colley

Patent number: 6265624Abstract: A process is described for the continuous recovery of substantially pure pentane-1,5-diol from a crude product stream (1) containing pentane-1,5-diol and &dgr;-valerolactone. The feed stream (1) is continuously supplied to a vaporization zone (2) maintained under temperature and pressure conditions effective for the vaporization of pentane-1,5-diol and conducive to the thermal decomposition of reaction products of &dgr;-valerolactone thereby to form a vaporous stream. The resulting vaporous stream is continuously supplied to an intermediate section of a distillation zone (4). A reflux stream (5) of dimethyl glutarate is fed to an upper section of the distillation zone (4) and an overhead vapor product stream (8) comprising &dgr;-valerolactone and dimethyl glutarate is taken. Also an intermediate stream (11) comprising substantially pure pentane-1,5-diol is taken from the distillation zone (4), while from the bottom section of the distillation zone there is recovered a bottoms product (12).Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2000Date of Patent: July 24, 2001Assignee: Kvaerner Process Technology, Ltd.Inventors: John Scarlett, Michael Anthony Wood, Paul Willett
