  • Patent number: 12097821
Abstract: A vehicle seat system includes a seat including a seat base and a seat back having a first end pivotally connected to the seat base and a second end. A belt guide system is mounted adjacent to the second end. The belt guide system includes a guide mechanism supportable in a vehicle. The guide mechanism including a guide track having a first end section, a second end section, and an intermediate section extending between the first end and the second end. A shuttle arranged at the guide track. The shuttle is shiftable between the first end section and the second end section. An actuator is operatively connected to the shuttle. The actuator is operable to shift the shuttle between the first end section and the second end section. A belt guide is mounted to the shuttle.

  • Patent number: 8118482
Abstract: A system for changing the temperature (T1) of a fluid such as an on-demand water heater is disclosed. The system comprises an input for receiving the fluid (120) at a first temperature (T1) and an output for delivering the fluid at a second temperature (T2). A conduit connects the input to the output, and comprising means such as a heating element for altering the temperature of the fluid from the first temperature (T1) to the second temperature (T2). The system is characterized by the presence of one or more virtual sensors for estimating the fluid temperature in a given location within the conduit. The system provides accurate fluid temperature control without suffering from the slow responsiveness that usually mars sensor-based systems.

  • Patent number: 8119952
Abstract: A system is disclosed that is designed to be connected to an electrical power supply. The system comprises a plurality of electric load component comprising stages for cooperatively producing an output (Tout), each stage in a first subset of the stages comprising at least one electrical load component having a first load and each stage in a second subset of the stages comprising at least one electrical load component having a second load, the first load being larger than the second load. The system has a controller for controlling the electrical load components. The controller is designed to estimate voltage variations on the electrical power supply from the switching frequencies of the respective electrical load components during a predefined time frame.

The system is characterized by the presence of one or more virtual sensors for estimating the fluid temperature in a given location within the conduit. To this end, the system comprises a processor having a temperature estimating program for estimating the fluid temperature in a selected location of the conduit based on an estimate of the heat transfer between the fluid and the conduit. The processor provides a controller with the estimated temperature.

  • Patent number: 6082573
Abstract: A shower caddy bucket having a rotatable standoff for positioning a bottom portion of the bucket away from the wall to which the caddy is mounted. The bucket has a tapered configuration with a narrower bottom end. The standoff has an elongated configuration and is selectively rotatable between a stored position parallel to the wall and a standoff position perpendicular to the wall. In the standoff position, an end of the standoff will engage the wall to maintain the bottom end of the caddy bucket spaced away from the wall.
