The first side surface may comprise a first cavity of the first side surface. The first side surface may have a height and a width.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a tire having a rim guard are disclosed. The rim guard may be configured to have reduced deflection and/or strain relative to the remainder of the tire's sidewall. As a result, decorative decals applied to the rim guard may be less likely to crack, disbond, or otherwise become damaged or deformed, leading to loss of function and/or detachment of the decal from the tire.
