  • Patent number: 4817856
Abstract: A pump impeller is coated essentially without use of core structures. The pump impeller coating is performed in several stages. Partial units of the impeller are coated, whereafter the coated partial units are assembled together. Exposed areas of the impeller are then coated to provide a continuous coating over the entire impeller.

  • Patent number: 4617715
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and mechanism for preliminary anchoring of a wire rope bolt in a bore by means of friction. The object is to eliminate the need to use wooden wedges or to bend the strands of the rope backwards, procedures which are time-consuming. In accordance with the invention, a permanent deformation is produced in the wire rope bolt in such a way that friction force is produced when parts of the bolt press against the wall of the bore. The mechanism may comprise, fitted at a point prior to feeding rolls, a bending roll, which bends the wire rope before it is fed into the bore. The circumference of the feeding roll can be V-shaped, in which case it causes the bent wire rope to rotate and to become helical.

  • Patent number: 4565285
Abstract: The present invention concerns a tube belt conveyor in which a flat belt (1) is like a helically seamed tube at least over the length of its transporting part. Tubularity of the belt (1) has been achieved by winding the flat belt helically to be tubular about its longitudinal axis and by disposing the helically seamed tube between the bending drum (3) and traction drum (5) of the conveyor. The helical configuration is produced and maintained by the aid of roller sets (7 and 9). In the helically seamed tube belt it is possible, if desired, to make bends by means of bending roller sets (8). It is possible to transport material with the tube belt conveyor in different planes between the horizontal plane and the vertical plane.

  • Patent number: 4460180
Abstract: A sealing of a centrifugal pump shaft. When the pump is at rest, the sealing is effected mechanically between surfaces with the aid of loading means, a sealing surface and a packing, and when the pump is in operation, the sealing is effected by means of a hydrodynamically effected fluid ring of the fluid being pumped, formed by means of auxiliary blades which are separate in relation to the impeller.
