  • Publication number: 20190246713
Abstract: A method of producing a sock including a gaiter (e.g., knitted integrally in a single garment). The sock further comprises a legging and a foot Upon knitting the legging to a predetermined point and to have a tubular form, first thread used to knit the legging is secured and second thread to knit the gaiter is released. Upon completing the knitting of the gaiter with the second thread, the first thread is released, and a remainder of the sock, including the foot portion of the sock, is knitted with the first thread.

  • Publication number: 20190104780
Abstract: Sock and gaiter knitted integrally in a single garment. The sock comprises a legging (1) and a foot of the sock (3). Coupled to the sock, there is a gaiter (2) along the sock circular section, between said legging (1) and said foot (3). Through the inherent elasticity of the sock (1, 3) and of the gaiter (2), namely in its circular section union, one can get an adaptable piece and able to keep in proper position to prevent the entry of foreign bodies or liquids, namely water, earth or sand, to the inside of the shoe, even under conditions of high effort and movement by the user. One can include adjusting means (4). This type of elastic adjustment, which prevents movements better than existing protections by being coupled to the legging (1) of the sock, allows superior sealing and maintains the comfort and safety of its user.

  • Publication number: 20130137943
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sock with integrated biometric monitoring. The invention includes a biometric sensor system integrated into a sock with the ability to process and store the biometric data collected in order to provide useful information to the user, relating the user's biometric data to performance parameters of physical effort. The invention includes sensing integrated, on suitable supports (2), in the textile structure of the sock including temperature (1), heart beating and blood pressure (5) exerted by the foot of its user, to a processor (10, 11), signaling means (13) and interaction (14), to be interpreted and sent (12) to a mobile device (15) that stores data and allows the visualization of data. The invention includes textile integration of biometric monitoring devices through conductive yarns (3, 4, 6, 7) knitted with own sock and their connections to sensors, terminals (8, 9) and encapsulations.
