  • Patent number: 10233894
Abstract: An artificial reef to be anchored to the seabed comprises two or more juxtaposed conduits which are positioned in parallel with the direction of wave propagation. Both conduits include directrices. The upper conduit includes directrices which drive the flow of the wave's crest, and the lower conduit includes directrices which drive the water diverging from the apertures in the area under the wave's trough. The upper and lower conduits are hydraulically connected, each connection comprising a shut-down valve associated with a useful energy-generating unit.

  • Publication number: 20170139974
Abstract: Some embodiments are associated with a big data pull infrastructure adapted to provide a substantial number of electronic files, originating from a plurality of data sources, to be ingested and validated. A visualization system may collect meta information associated with the electronic files received from the big data pull infrastructure. According to some embodiments, a hierarchical, multidimensional view of the meta data associated with the electronic files may be established. Moreover, the hierarchical, multidimensional view of the meta data may be rendered by the visualization system as nested icons, at least one icon being represented via a plurality of unique visual characteristics indicating: (i) data that has not been ingested, (ii) data that has been ingested but not yet validated, and (iii) data that has been ingested and validated.

  • Publication number: 20160298596
Abstract: This invention relates to an artificial reef to be anchored to the seabed, basically comprised of two or more juxtaposed conduits (1) and (2) which are positioned in parallel with the direction of waves propagation, both conduits being provided with directrices (3) and (6), the upper conduit having directrices (3) which drive the flow of the wave's crest (4) converging to the entries (5), the lower conduit also having directrices (6) which drive the water diverging from the exits (8) in the area under the wave's trough (7), all of these apertures being provided with flexible filters made from fabric, which will smoothly control the abrupt reflux of flow. The said conduits are hydraulically connected, each connection comprising a shut-down valve associated to a useful energy-generating unit (9).

  • Publication number: 20150082683
Abstract: The present invention refers to a Hook Teaser for the fishing with softbait, commonly known as “softbait fishing”. The Hook Teaser is characterized by having a lip (1) of flat and smooth surface, to which a lead weight (11) is added and crossed (lip (1)) on the top and inside by a metal body of circular cross-section (10, 14, 15) with two sockets (10,15), being these sockets (10,15) situated on both ends, giving the lip (1) an oblique angle (7) in relation to the metal body of circular cross-section (10, 14, 15) and giving the hook (5,6) a type of traction in water that causes a more natural motion, identical to that of a live bait and, consequently, causes the movement of the softbait in the water to be more realistic similar to that of live and/or weakened fish. The Hook Teaser aims to address the total lack of products to “bring to life” the artificial movement of softbaits used in this type of fishing.
