  • Publication number: 20240084923
Abstract: A process for the manufacture, assembly and continuous construction of tubular sections made of steel or polymer in individual pipelines with gradual movement that is designed to mechanize and automate a process substantially eliminating or mitigating existing inefficiencies and risks, considerably reducing the time vessels need to be moored at piers while paying extremely expensive daily rates, increasing the quality of welds, inspections and the entire process. The process including inside the manufactured unit one or more weld cabins and a series of support devices with synchronized driven and free wheels that carry the pipe segments while simultaneously enabling movement of the entire stalk without external interference, following the joining of several pipe segments (welded together), of variable length, in which the embodiments provided in the present invention enable each stalk to be approximately 1.2 km long or longer.

  • Patent number: 9964235
Abstract: The present invention is related to curved structural support elements installed within a tunnel to provide support to pipelines and the like. They comprise elongated and short curved structural support elements directly fastened to the generally concave inner walls of the tunnel wherein the back surface of said curved structural support elements contacts and substantially follows the geometrical contour of the generally concave inner walls. The elongated and short structural support elements are provided with means to firmly receive and connect to at least one pipeline support element thereto thereby providing support for a pipeline or the like. By using both the elongated and the short curved structural support elements to provide support for pipelines and the like no traction stresses are transferred to the walls of the tunnel.

  • Publication number: 20120112015
Abstract: The present invention is related to a duct bearing system, more specifically to a duct bearing system for specific use in tunnels, and aims at solving the problems and difficulties that arise when using traditional methods for mounting duct bearing system in tunnels. The system is modular and essentially comprises a stay or beam made of a hollow structural section with a round cross-section secured to the tunnel wall or a trapezoidal bearing structure fastened by screws, the said hollow structural section stay or beam comprising one or more points for fastening roller bearing support structures which comprise structural attachment or arresting elements secured by screws to the roller bearing support structure and to the hollow structural section stay or beam. The structure farther comprises an upper fitting section for including additional modules that are fastened by screws to the tunnel walls.
