Abstract: A method, system and device for managing congestion/overload conditions at application level, experienced in a network service provided through a telecommunications network, allowing to provide fast, valid and complete service responses to the service client even when the service servers are overloaded. The congestion management is provided by an intermediary node communicated with the client device and with the server or servers providing the network service. In order to control server(s) overload, this node uses a double congestion mechanism, an early congestion detection mechanism and a response time limit mechanism.

Abstract: A method, system and server for providing customized multimedia services to a user by calculating the engagement level for the user based on detected events. Said events can be generated as a result of user activity in a first user device (for example a TV) or in other user devices (for example, a laptop, an smart phone). In the computer-implemented method of the invention said content is previously rated by a group of users via computing devices, and it is characterised in that it comprises generating adaptive catalogues for a user by means of Item Response Theory models applied to said content and generating a user profile for said user by at least presenting items of said adaptive catalogues to said user, through a user computing device, and analysing scores given by said user to said items via said user computing device.
