  • Patent number: 10813192
Abstract: A method of controlling luminaires of a lighting system based on a current mode of an entertainment device, the method comprising: whilst the entertainment device is in an active mode: controlling one or more of the luminaires associated with the entertainment device to render an entertainment effect, receiving a lighting instruction identifying a plurality of the luminaires and a lighting effect to be rendered by them, determining that at least a first of the plurality of luminaires is one of the luminaires currently rendering the entertainment effect, controlling at least a second of the plurality of luminaries, which is not currently rendering the entertainment effect, to render the lighting effect whilst the first luminaire continues to render the entertainment effect, and electronically storing an indication of the lighting effect; and in response to the entertainment device switching to an inactive mode, controlling the first luminaire to render the lighting effect using the electronically stored indica

  • Patent number: 10401470
Abstract: As at least part of a location network, there is provided a trigger node and multiple listening nodes. The trigger node wirelessly transmits a trigger signal to the mobile device, the trigger signal being configured to cause the mobile device to wirelessly emit a signal in response to receiving the trigger signal. The listening nodes listen for the response signal that was transmitted from the mobile device in response to the trigger signal, and thereby at each respective one of a plurality of the listening nodes that wirelessly receive the response signal from the mobile device, a respective measurement is taken of the response signal as received at the respective listening node, for use in performing a localization to determine the location of the mobile device based on one or more of these measurements.

  • Publication number: 20190230768
Abstract: According to one aspect disclosed herein, there is provided a method of controlling a plurality of luminaires to illuminate an environment, the method comprising steps of: determining a lighting pattern to be rendered by the plurality of luminaires, the lighting pattern comprising a respective lighting setting for transmission to each of the plurality of luminaires; accessing a memory storing a lighting function which, as stored in the memory, defines concurrently for a set of some or all of said plurality of luminaires respective lighting setting modifiers to be applied to the respective lighting settings for the respective luminaires of said set, wherein said accessing comprises retrieving the lighting function from the memory; applying the lighting function to the lighting pattern to generate a modified lighting pattern comprising respective modified lighting settings for the plurality of luminaires, by applying the lighting setting modifiers to the respective lighting settings in order to generate the res
