  • Publication number: 20230247276
Abstract: A microscopy system includes a planar array of micro-cameras with at least three micro-cameras of the planar array of micro-cameras each capturing a unique angular distribution of light reflected from a corresponding portion of a target area. The corresponding portions of the target area for the at least three micro-cameras contain an overlapping area of the target area. The microscopy system further includes a primary lens disposed in a path of the light between the planar array of micro-cameras and the target area. This microscopy system is capable of producing 3D imaging and/or video imaging of the target area. In some cases, the microscopy system is configured to generate a 3D image from the captured unique angular distribution of light reflected from the corresponding portions of the target area of the at least three micro-cameras of the planar array of micro-cameras.

  • Publication number: 20230179876
Abstract: A microscopy system includes a lens, an image sensor, a planar array of light sources, and a first and second polarizing filter. The lens is disposed between the array and the image sensor. The image sensor has a field of view and is positioned to capture an image of a sample in a target area. Each light source provides light from a different direction to the target area. The first polarizing filter and the second polarizing filter are each positioned at a rotation angle. A method of microscopy imaging includes illuminating a sample positioned in a target area of a lens with a light source from an array of light sources, acquiring a set of images by an image sensor of the illuminated sample, and performing a reconstruction algorithm on the set of images to generate a composite high-resolution image over the field of view of the image sensor.

  • Publication number: 20220260823
Abstract: A microscopy system includes a primary lens and a planar array of micro-cameras. Each micro-camera of the planar array of micro-cameras has a field of view at an intermediate plane that overlaps at least one other micro-camera's field of view at the intermediate plane in a direction. The primary lens is disposed in a light path between the array of micro-cameras and a target area. In some cases, an overlap amount in the direction of the field of view at the intermediate plane for each micro-camera is at least 50%. A method of microscopy imaging includes directing light to a target area and simultaneously capturing a first set of images of the target area while the light illuminates the target area via a planar array of micro-cameras having a field of view at an intermediate plane disposed between a primary lens and the planar array of micro-cameras.

  • Publication number: 20160169064
Abstract: A method for optimizing response time of a latch in a cylinder deactivation rocker arm assembly is provided. The latch is configured to move between an engaged position with an inner arm of the rocker arm assembly and a retracted position. A major outer diameter (L1) of the latch is determined. An installed length (L2) of a spring biasing the latch is determined. A clearance (L3) between L1 and a major inner diameter of an outer arm of the rocker arm assembly is determined. A radial clearance (L4) between a cage coupled to the outer arm and a major inner diameter of the latch is determined. A minor diameter (L5) of the latch is determined. A relationship between the response time of the latch and L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5 is established. Components of the cylinder deactivation rocker arm assembly are selected based on the relationship.
