Abstract: A hand tool has an elongated handle, and includes an elastically flexible drive gear along with a plurality of roller members, all supported in a cage member at one end of the handle. In response to selective rotation of the handle, the roller members operate to radially compress the drive gear about a fastener when the handle is rotated in a direction that imparts a torquing force to the fastener. The hand tool provides a haptic and audible ratchet feedback when the handle is rotated in a direction opposite the first direction to untorque the fastener.

Abstract: A hand tool having an elongated handle, an elastically flexible drive gear, a plurality of roller members, and a cage member. The elongated handle has an interior annular wall that defines a cavity that supports the drive gear rotatably for movement between a radially compressed position and a radially decompressed position. The drive gear includes an inner periphery configured to engage a fastener, and an outer periphery containing circumferentially spaced pockets to receive a corresponding roller member. The cage member is supported in the cavity to support the drive gear in a manner that facilitates movement of the roller members to cause movement of the drive gear to the radially compressed position to apply a torquing force on the fastener in response to selective rotation of the handle in a first direction. The hand tool may thus be operated as a normal gear ratchet wrench under traditional load conditions.

Abstract: A multi-link cutting tool used to cut wire, pipe, cable, tube, chain and the like. The cutting tool utilizes a multi-link connecting linkage between the cutting jaw and the handles to increase the leverage obtained at the cutting edge, to control the relative motion of the jaws, and/or use to control the motion of the cutting edge. With this multi-link connecting mechanism, a smaller and more powerful cutting tool can be made.

Abstract: A device and method for clamping an object with adjusting plier with dual mode is disclosed. In particular, a device is provided with a top jaw having a bottom handle, a bottom jaw having a top handle, a slot, and ridges located around the slot and a top handle with a distal end. A pawl pivot, which includes an engagement element, is provided for extending through the bottom jaw and into a slot of the bottom jaw. The top jaw can include a slot for receiving at least part of the bottom jaw and bottom handle. The top jaw can include an opening for operatively connecting at least part of the pawl pivot. The bottom jaw and bottom jaw pivot about an axis of the rivet, and the engagement element is moveable along the same axis from a first position to a second position and may provide ambidextrous use.
