  • Publication number: 20170204076
Abstract: The present invention provides novel amino lipids and a method for synthesizing these compounds.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 6, 2015
    Publication date: July 20, 2017
Inventors: Linxian Li, Girish Karadka Shankara, Xing Du, Yihang Wu, Gary Davidson, Pavel Levkin
  • Patent number: 9511024
Abstract: The present invention provides new amino lipids and a convenient method for synthesizing these compounds. These (cationic) amino lipids have good properties as transfection agents. The method is an economic versatile two step synthesis allowing the preparation of various amino lipids thus leading to the assembly of a combinatorial library of transfection agents. Moreover, the present invention provides lipid particles (liposomes) containing said amino lipids and their use for delivering bioactive agents into cells. The invention encompasses also the use of lipid particles containing the cationic amino lipids as medicament.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 15, 2012
Date of Patent: December 6, 2016
    Assignee: INCELLA GMBH
Inventors: Gary Davidson, Pavel Levkin, Linxian Li, Yi Su, David Zahner

  • Publication number: 20140087173
Abstract: The present invention relates to a substrate with a solid support coated with a porous hydrophobic polymer layer or film, wherein said polymer layer or film is coated with a water-immiscible hydrophobic liquid forming a stable film on the polymer surface. The present invention further relates to a method of forming a protein- and cell-repellent surface, comprising the steps of providing a substrate with a solid support coated with a porous hydrophobic polymer layer or film, and applying a water-immiscible hydrophobic liquid to said porous hydrophobic polymer layer or film, a respective method of preventing the formation of biofilms, adhesion of cells and bacteria, and/or migration of cells and bacteria on a surface, as well as the use of a porous hydrophobic polymer layer or film that is coated with a water-immiscible hydrophobic liquid for forming a protein-, cell- and bacteria-repellent surface.

  • Publication number: 20140018263
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of forming an array of separated homogenous fluid microdroplets or hydrogel micropads of a desired shape and size in a desired spatial pattern, comprising the steps of providing a patterned substrate with a solid support coated with a porous polymer layer or film comprising hydrophilic areas having the desired shape and size, surrounded by hydrophobic areas separating the hydrophilic areas into the desired spatial pattern, and applying the fluid to a multitude of the hydrophilic areas at the same time.
