Abstract: The Guided Card Appendage method allows the sender of an electronic mail message to attach a an electronic business card and to change the contents of the business card at any later time. Thus whenever the electronic mail recipient opens an archived electronic mail message, the contents of the attached business card always show the latest contact information of the sender.

Abstract: The Recallable Business Card Organizer is a device capable of storing contact information derived from regular or electronic business cards and identifying the original owner of the business card by locating his Organizer using the unique contact information contained in the business card. The original business card owner can then ‘recall’ the business card and change its contents at a later date.

Abstract: The aggregate activation system uses keywords to activate digital or analog devices, connect licensees with each other, and authorize transfer of information or content between or among the authorized devices for the use of the licensees according to the relationship defined by the selection of activation keywords. The aggregate activation system allows the licensees to pass the licenses onto new members based on the keyword syntax, and to create clusters of licensed devices and users, according to the guidelines set by the general licenser, based on the selection of identical activation keywords.

Abstract: A Self-updating Address Book consists of two parts: the list of contacts and the profile of its own user. Each user of a Self-updating Address Book either chooses or is assigned a name or a number. Such a name becomes the user's locator. Inside the Self-updating Address Book, the contact list consists solely of a set of locators, which the user adds or deletes in lieu of the actual contact information. In the profile area, the user maintains his/her own contact information, such as name, phone number, address, etc. When the user wants to view or otherwise retrieve the contact information of someone on his/her list, the Self-updating Address Book uses the locator to find the original profile of the other user and instantly deliver that information.
