  • Publication number: 20200125351
Abstract: According to at least one embodiment, an auto-discovery process is initiated to gather configuration information for a first instance of an application deployed on a mainframe computing system. A mainframe management agent of the mainframe computing system generates, using the configuration information gathered during the auto-discovery process, an image of the first instance of the application at the application layer. The image indicates a set of application artifacts and variables defining a runtime environment for the first instance of the application. A cloning template, which defines a workflow for cloning the application instance at a second mainframe computing system and indicates a set of application artifacts and variables to define a runtime environment for the application instance, is accessed, and a second instance of the application is provisioned on the second mainframe computing system based on the cloning template and the image of the first instance of the application.

  • Patent number: 10375001
Abstract: A computing device, such as a network server or user terminal, automatically performs one or more predefined actions on inbound email messages responsive to receiving the inbound email messages. However, rather than base the performance of the actions on information manually provided to an email application by the user, the computing device retrieves event-related information stored in one or more calendar applications communicatively connected to the email application. The computing device then utilizes that information to perform the predefined actions. One example of such an action is automatically generating and sending an autoreply email message to the sender of the inbound email message.

  • Patent number: 10135695
Abstract: Methods include presenting one or more actions that correspond to each of one or more remote devices. In addition, the methods comprise receiving a selection. The selection comprises an action selected from the one or more actions, wherein the action corresponds to a particular remote device in the one or more remote devices. The methods further comprise retrieving identification data for the particular remote device. The methods also include generating a packet, wherein the packet comprises the identification data and a command corresponding to the action. The methods further comprise transmitting the packet to the particular remote device.

  • Patent number: 9965449
Abstract: Systems and methods include instantiating an application on first and second display devices. The application includes objects and an integrated wiki module. The integrated wiki module includes object wiki pages associated with the objects. The first display device is controlled to display a control module when an object is displayed thereon and to display an object wiki page in response to receiving a selection of the control module. The object wiki page includes content associated with the object. Instructions are received to change the content included in the object wiki page. The second display device is controlled to display the control module when the object is displayed on the second display device and to display the object wiki page including the changed content in response to receiving a selection of the control module after receiving the instructions to change the content.

  • Patent number: 9626283
Abstract: A computing device is provided that automatically assigns bugs or errors associated with an application program to one or more developers that are best suited to address the bug. The bugs may be detected either at runtime or during a build process. The assignment of a bug to any given developer is based on an analysis of the debug information contained in a log file generated for the application program, as well as the knowledge of which developers worked on the code particularly associated with the detected bug, and/or on the contents of a pre-defined list that associates developers with different parts of the application program.

  • Patent number: 9436727
Abstract: Methods include receiving a request to access an integrated macro module, wherein the integrated macro module is integrated into an application. Methods include presenting an option to search for a macro. When the option to search for the macro is selected, methods include transmitting a message, wherein the message asks for one or more search terms corresponding to the macro. Methods include receiving the one or more search terms. Methods include identifying a macro associated with at least one of the one or more search terms that is stored in an accessible repository. Methods include presenting the identified macro. Methods include recording a macro. Methods include presenting an option to share a macro. When the option to share the macro is selected, methods include storing the macro in a public repository. When the option to share the macro is not selected, methods include storing the macro in a local repository.

  • Patent number: 9256641
Abstract: A method includes receiving a first database query, in which the first database query requests particular data associated with a first object that is stored on a data source. The method also includes determining whether the first database query includes an aggregation function. The method also includes sending an instruction to generate current aggregate data based on the aggregation function to the data source in response to determining that the first database query includes the aggregation function, in which the current aggregate data corresponds to the particular data. The data source is configured to generate the current aggregate data in response to receiving the instruction. The method includes generating a second database query based on the first database query, in which the second database query requests the current aggregate data. The method also includes retrieving the current aggregate data using the second database query and providing the current aggregate data.

  • Patent number: 9171102
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments included a system, apparatus, method, and computer program product for performing a topological sort of a directed graph that comprises a cyclic component or subcomponent. The apparatus comprises a processor configured to execute computer-readable program code embodied on a computer program product. And executing the computer-readable program code comprises identifying a plurality of vertices in a directed graph that depend upon each other in a cyclic manner and removing those vertices and all of the vertices in the same component from a topology object. The topology object then may be utilized to sort the acyclic components and/or subcomponents of the directed graph based the dependencies between the remaining vertices.
