  • Patent number: 11884563
Abstract: A composition and method are disclosed for forming lignin-containing floccules from dissolved lignin, lignin nanoparticles, lignin colloids, or lignin-containing cellulose nanofibers. The floccules may be used to clean oil-contaminated materials such as oil-contaminated plastics or oil-contaminated water. The polymers and oil may then be recovered for further use, without requiring organic solvents.

  • Publication number: 20230267102
Abstract: Implementations are directed to receiving, by an application, query data, the query data indicating a conditional query and a selection of files on which to execute the conditional query; identifying a subset of selected files for which copies of the selected files are not stored in a file database of the application; extracting, from a file system, a copy of each file of the subset of selected files into the file database of the application; parsing the copies of the selected files from the file database into a dataframe; executing the conditional query on the selected files in the dataframe; and providing a result of the conditional query. Actions include executing, by a discovery engine, a discovery process to provide metadata comprising, for a file in the file system: a name of the file; corresponding column names and data types; and a file alias.

  • Patent number: 11494397
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media for determining for each query in a set of high-cost queries, an access pattern to data objects accessed by the query in a legacy system, determining for each query in a set of low-cost queries, an access pattern to each data object accessed by the query in the legacy system, providing a first set of design patterns representative of first data objects of the legacy system to be offloaded to the target system and a second set of design patterns representative of second data objects of the legacy system to remain on the legacy system, and executing at least one design pattern of the first set of design patterns to offload one or more first data objects to the target system.

  • Publication number: 20200200035
Abstract: A method for determining a performance characteristic for a target startup sequence of a gas turbine, wherein the gas turbine includes a compressor, a combustor, and, drivingly coupled to the compressor, a turbine. The method includes the steps of: measuring one or more operating parameters during a target operating period of the gas turbine, the target operating period being selected so that the target operating period includes the target startup sequence; creating a time series plot from data points derived from the one or more operating parameters measured during the target operating period; comparing the time series plot against a reference time series plot and, based on the comparison, determining a degree of similarity therebetween; and determining a value for the performance characteristic based on the degree of similarity.
