Patent number: 10771370Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for the dynamic monitoring of network health characteristics via a visualization platform. The platform receives collected information regarding network health characteristics and applies a rule set defining at least one threshold to classify each of the network health characteristics for each network component over a time period. The classifications can be represented visually on a graphical user interface to a network administrator, allowing the administrator to quickly discern which aspects of the network are operating properly and which aspects are not.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2018Date of Patent: September 8, 2020Assignee: Silver Peak Systems, Inc.Inventors: David Anthony Hughes, Santosh Bheemarajaiah, Damon John Ennis, David Holt Merwin, Rolf Muralt, Onur Ozduygu, Kevin James Roselle, Pawan Kumar Singh

Publication number: 20190089620Abstract: Systems and methods for selectively advertising routing information by a network appliance to a neighboring computing device are disclosed. In exemplary embodiments, customized export policies are created based on source type for each neighboring computing device to a network appliance. A source type for routing information is determined by the network appliance. The routing information is exported by the appliance to the neighboring computing device, such as a BGP router, based on the customized export policy associated with the source type.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2017Publication date: March 21, 2019Inventors: Timothy Robert Hefel, Jigar Chheda, Manoj Kulkarni, Damon John Ennis, David Anthony Hughes, Rolf Muralt, Pawan Kumar Singh

Publication number: 20150335719Abstract: The treatment of endophthalmitis is challenging due to the emergence of MDR bacteria. We evaluated the therapeutic potential of Ply187AN-KSH3b, a chimeric phage endolysin derived from the Ply187 prophage in a mouse model of Staphylococcus aureus endophthalmitis. The endolysin was injected intravitreally in C57BL/6 mouse eyes at 6 h and 12 h post S. aureus infection. The disease progression was monitored by ophthalmoscopic, electroretinography, histological, cell death and microbiological parameters. Expression of cytokines/chemokines and cellular infiltration was assessed. Intravitreal injection of chimeric Ply187AN-KSH3b (both at 6 and 12 h post infection) significantly improved the outcome of staphylococcal endophthalmitis, preserved retinal structural integrity, and maintained visual function. Phage lysin treatment significantly reduced the bacterial burden and the levels of inflammatory cytokines and neutrophil infiltration in the eyes.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 23, 2014Publication date: November 26, 2015Inventors: David M. Donovan, Pawan Kumar Singh, Ashok Kumar

Patent number: 8731896Abstract: A virtual testbed for system verification test is provided in which emulated responses are associated with certain steps of a system verification test. The emulated responses can be manually entered or populated with previous test results obtained from execution of the emulation-enabled steps on a real testbed. When the emulation-enabled steps are executed, the system verification test uses the emulated responses as the responses corresponding to the actions of the emulation-enabled steps as if the steps were executed on the real testbed, without actually executing the emulation-enabled steps on the real testbed. Therefore, the virtual testbed of the present invention allows development of test scripts for system verification test without constant, actual access to the real testbed.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 2009Date of Patent: May 20, 2014Assignee: Spirent Communications, Inc.Inventors: Paul Kingston Duffie, Pawan Kumar Singh, Adam James Bovill, Rory Stephen Latchem

Patent number: 8516370Abstract: A script including a plurality of actions to process in a session associated with a system is generated via a user interface, where the script includes both actions and metaactions. The actions correspond to commands associated with the session to be executed on the system, and the metaactions correspond to a selected plurality of the commands. The script is generated by receiving the actions and the metaactions to process on the system via the user interface associated with the session for interfacing with the system, capturing the actions and the metaactions, and saving the captured actions and metaactions to generate the script.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2010Date of Patent: August 20, 2013Assignee: Spirent Communications, Inc.Inventors: Paul Kingston Duffie, Kevin Edward Oelze, Adam James Bovill, Pawan Kumar Singh, Amish Jayeshbhai Patel
