  • Patent number: 11959754
Abstract: Methods for modifying a patrol route of a safety officer include monitoring persons within geographic areas, identifying a safety officer, tracking an elapsed time value for each of the persons indicating a respective quantity of time since a person has been within a threshold proximity to the safety officer, determining a total elapsed time value for each of the geographic areas based on the respective elapsed time values for each of the persons currently located in the geographic area, determining that a patrol route of the safety officer should be modified based on the total elapsed time value for each of the geographic areas, modifying the patrol route of the safety officer, and transmitting the modified patrol route to the safety officer. The modified patrol route indicates that the safety officer is to patrol a given geographic area of the geographic areas.

  • Patent number: 11935325
Abstract: Techniques for saving bandwidth in performing facial recognition are provided. An image including a face may be received, over a wireless link, at a first resolution. A facial recognition system may identify a subset of people who may be associated with the face, wherein the facial recognition system cannot definitively associate the face with an individual person in the subset of people, based on the image including the face at the first resolution. A feature of the subset of people that may be used to identify a person within the subset of people may be determined. A request for the portion of the image containing the feature at a second resolution may be sent over the wireless link. The second resolution may be higher than the first.

  • Publication number: 20240054247
Abstract: A process of anonymizing a person captured in an image. An anonymization server receives a request from an agency to anonymize a person captured in an image including an unredacted facial feature corresponding to the person and an unredacted non-facial feature. The server redacts the facial feature captured in the image to generate a first redacted image. The server then identifies a second image accessible to users not associated with the agency. When the server determines that the anonymity of the person captured in the first redacted image can be compromised using unredacted facial and non-facial features captured in the second image, the server further redacts the non-facial feature captured in the image.

  • Publication number: 20240048655
Abstract: A process and system for managing incoming video emergency calls (VECs) at a command center relative to an incident includes receiving first and second VECs from respective first and second recording and transmitting devices reflecting a first incident. Identifying the second VEC as a preferred one of the first and second VECs based on one or both of a quality and a field-of-view between the first and second VECs, and responsively causing the identified second VEC to be forwarded to a first live call taker and the first VEC to a VEC monitoring bot configured to continue to monitor video content of the first VEC and refrain from forwarding the first VEC to the first live call taker. The first VEC may be forwarded to the first live call taker at a lower relative resolution.

  • Publication number: 20230004654
Abstract: An analysis engine of an anomaly detection system receives an input captured by a monitoring device, determines, based on a currently used anomaly detection model, that the input represents an object or event that should not be classified as an anomaly, and determines, based on a previously used model, that the input was previously classified as an anomaly. In response, the analysis engine determines a respective classification result for the input based on additional models used between the currently and previously used models, determines, based on the respective classification results, that it is likely that the anomaly detection system has been deliberately re-trained to falsely classify the input, and initiates an action to correctly classify the input as representing an object or event that should be classified as an anomaly. The anomaly detection models and classification results may be stored in a training repository for the anomaly detection system.

  • Publication number: 20220414159
Abstract: An electronic digital assistant of an electronic computing device receives a query from a requestor. The assistant determines whether the results of the query include a data portion restricted for the requestor. The assistant determines users having permission to process the data portion restricted for the requestor. The assistant calculates, a priority factor associated with each of users having permission to process the data portion restricted for the requestor. The priority factor is based on at least one criterion defined by a contextual relation between the requestor and respective user. Based on the priority factor a contact person for the data portion restricted for the requestor is selected.

  • Patent number: 11528589
Abstract: A device, system and method for modifying actions associated with an emergency call is provided. A mobile device operates a virtual assistant application, which connects to an emergency call that includes a dispatcher and a caller communicating on the emergency call. The mobile device monitors, using the virtual assistant application, the emergency call to determine context information of the emergency call. The mobile device receives, at the virtual assistant application, sensor data from sensors associated with the mobile device. The mobile device correlates, using the virtual assistant application, the context information with the sensor data. The mobile device causes, using the virtual assistant application, a modification of an action associated with the emergency call based on a correlation between the context information with the sensor data.

  • Publication number: 20220392008
Abstract: A device, system and method for positioning monitors in schools is provided. One or more memories store: adversarial relationship data identifying adversarial relationships between students at a school; and schedule data indicative of spatiotemporal locations of the students having the adversarial relationships. A device accesses the adversarial relationship data and the schedule data. The device determines, based on the schedule data, spatiotemporal crosspaths at the school of the students having the adversarial relationships. The device determines a ranking of the spatiotemporal crosspaths. The device assigns one or more monitors to one or more of the spatiotemporal crosspaths. The device transmits notifications to communication devices associated with the one or more monitors, the notifications to instruct the one or more monitors to move to a respective assigned spatiotemporal crosspath.

An anonymous tip may be received from a tip submitter at an electronic tip submission system. Natural language processing may be applied to extract at least one token from the anonymous tip. At least one query may be created based on the extracted at least one token. The at least one query may be executed against one or more databases storing data associated with the at least one token. A number of possible tip submitters may be determined based on the results of the at least one query. Anonymization techniques may be applied to the anonymous tip when the number of possible tip submitters is less than or equal to a defined threshold. The anonymous tip may be submitted when the number of possible tip submitters exceeds the defined threshold.

Abstract: A device, system and method for selecting calls for forwarding to a communication device is provided. An automated call-answering device answers a plurality of calls associated with an incident. The device assigns, to the plurality of calls, questions associated with the incident, each of the questions assigned to at least two of the plurality of calls. The device asks the questions on the plurality of calls, as assigned. The device receives answers to the questions. The device selects a call to be forwarded to a communication device operated by a human user, the call selected from a group of the plurality of calls where one or more consistent answers were received in response to a given question, the call further selected based on voice attributes of callers in the group of the plurality of calls. The device forwards, to the communication device, the call as selected.
