Abstract: The disclosure relates to an apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer code for one or more programs, the at least one memory and the computer code configured, with the at least one processor, to cause the apparatus at least to: determine that an access to a cell served by a base station is required; determine that an access barring requirement is met by the apparatus, wherein the access barring requirement is based at least in part on a radio frequency conditions threshold; and prevent the access to the cell.

Abstract: In some example embodiments, there may be provided a method that includes receiving, by a central unit user plane function of a radio network node, a bearer context setup request message from a central unit control plane function of the radio network node, wherein the bearer context setup request message comprises at least one of a list of preemption candidates or a preemption criteria; and selecting, by the central unit user plane function at least one preemption candidate based on the bearer context setup request message.
