  • Patent number: 11930089
Abstract: A highway detection system may include a telematics device associated with a vehicle having one or more sensors arranged therein, a mobile device associated with a user traveling in the vehicle, and a server computer. The server computer may receive traveling data for a trip of the user from the one or more sensors and via the telematics device. The server computer may then determine whether the user is traveling within a city or on a highway based on analysis of the traveling data for the trip of the user, which may include a statistical analysis to calculate standard deviations of metrics in the traveling data. In response to the determination, the server computer may generate a notification to transmit to the user based on whether the user is traveling within a city or on a highway and transmit the notification to the mobile device associated with the user.

  • Patent number: 10818166
Abstract: Vehicle audible signal processing methods, systems, and apparatuses are disclosed. An example method comprises detecting a plurality of audible signals in a geographic area, determining locations of the plurality audible signal, determining a location of the apparatus, determining, based on the determined locations of the plurality of audible signals and based on the determined location of the apparatus, waveform characteristics for the plurality of audible signals, comparing the determined waveform characteristics for the plurality of audible signals to one or more signal signatures, determining, over a threshold period of time, a quantity of the plurality of audible signals that comprise waveform characteristics matching signatures of the one or more signal signatures, and determining, based on the quantity, a traffic density for the geographic area.

  • Patent number: 6295984
Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a backpack comprising a frame with straps and surrounding side wall for easy attachment on a diver. A first gas storage tank stores either oxygen or air, which is input through an inlet line. With a pressure regulator, it delivers a flow of gas to feed the diver while diving. As the pressure drops in the gas tank, a secondary source of oxygen is then operated and delivers a flow of oxygen to the diver so that the diver is able to receive supplemental oxygen stored in the gas storage tank formed by electric current flowing through a pair of spaced terminals. The terminals form oxygen by disassociation of water. The oxygen is bubbled upwardly in a chamber, pass though a hydrophobic valve, delivered into the gas storage tank, and supplements the oxygen supply.
