Abstract: A frame element, for use in fabricating frames for supporting a poster, or the like, comprises an elongated main member and at least one elongated flap member, all of substantially equal length. The main member and the flap member are provided with mutually engageable hinge elements by means of which the flap member is rotatably connected to the main member, the rotational axis of which is parallel with the longitudinal axis of the main and flap members. The main member and the flap member are also respectively provided with cooperating projections and recesses which mutually form a locking device for locking the flap member relative to the main member, the locking device having a definite snap latch position which is passed by when the flap member is hingedly folded toward the poster or the like while inserting the projections into the recesses.
