Abstract: A method for optimizing speech pickup in a speakerphone system, wherein the speakerphone system comprises a microphone system placed in a specific configuration, wherein the method comprising receiving acoustic input signals by the microphone system, processing said acoustic input signals by using an algorithm for focusing and steering a selected target sound signal towards a desired direction, and transmitting an output signal based on said processing.

Abstract: A wireless power transfer system includes a receive coil system nested within a transmit coil system forming a closed magnetic circuit. The transmit coil system includes a non-planar tapered transmit coil disposed within a tapered ferrite housing and a layer of insulating material surrounding the non-planar tapered transmit coil and the tapered ferrite housing. The receive coil system includes a ferrite plug comprising a column portion centrally secured to a plate portion, a non-planar receive coil wound around the column portion, a layer of insulating material surrounding the column portion and the non-planar receive coil, and a hemispherical covering surrounding the insulated column portion and non-planar receive coil. The non-planar receive coil has a smaller diameter than the non-planar tapered transmit coil. The maximum outside diameter of the hemispherical covering is less than or equal to the minimum inside diameter of the non-planar tapered transmit coil.

Abstract: A multi-band antenna comprising a conductive structure and a plurality of current probes coupled around the conductive structure. Each current probe is designed to receive and transmit in a substantially different frequency band than the other current probes. The current probes are positioned on the conductive structure so as to effectively create a plurality of transmit/receive antennas such that each respective antenna has a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of less than or equal to approximately 3:1 for a given range within each respective frequency band.

Abstract: A kit containing thermoplastic pavement markers for convenience in transportation and application at a jobsite. The pavement markers have light colored projections on the upper surface to deflect water and reflect light for ease in viewing during rain, darkness and other adverse conditions. The method describes the application of the pavement markers on a road or other substrate for strong adhesion to asphalt and concrete.
