  • Publication number: 20140180588
Abstract: In one of many possible embodiments, an exemplary system includes a driving directions subsystem configured to provide data representative of driving directions to an access device communicatively coupled to the driving directions subsystem. The driving directions subsystem is further configured to provide at least one selection tool to the access device. The selection tool enables a user of the access device to select a subset of the driving directions for printing. In certain embodiments, the driving directions include a plurality of driving steps, and the selection tool enables the user of the access device to select, for each driving step, between including the driving step in and omitting the driving step from the printing.

  • Publication number: 20140108161
Abstract: In one of many possible embodiments, an exemplary system includes a landmark data subsystem providing landmark data and a driving directions subsystem communicatively coupled to the landmark data subsystem. The driving directions subsystem is configured to generate driving directions in response to a request received from an access device. The driving directions include a least a subset of the landmark data, which is representative of one or more landmarks located along a route defined by the driving directions. The driving directions subsystem is further configured to provide data representative of the driving directions to the access device. In certain embodiments, the driving directions subsystem is configured to provide to the access device a selection tool enabling a user of the access device to select between displaying and hiding the landmark data.

  • Publication number: 20080147319
Abstract: An exemplary system includes a system includes a map subsystem configured to provide data representative of a map to an access device communicatively coupled to the map subsystem, the map being representative of a geographic area. The map subsystem is further configured to provide a landmark selection tool to the access device, the landmark selection tool including at least one selectable landmark option associated with at least one landmark located within the geographic area. The map subsystem is further configured to detect a user selection of the at least one selectable landmark option and provide, in response to the user selection, at least one visual indicator of the at least one landmark for display on the map. In certain embodiments, the at least one selectable landmark option includes a plurality of selectable landmark options prioritized in relation to one another for display in a graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20080147314
Abstract: An exemplary system includes a driving directions subsystem configured to provide data representative of driving directions to an access device communicatively coupled to the driving directions subsystem. The driving directions subsystem is further configured to provide at least one print tool including a plurality of selectable map views to the access device, the print tool enabling a user of the access device to select, from the selectable map views, at least one map view for inclusion in a printing of at least a subset of the driving directions. In certain embodiments, the driving directions include textual driving direction steps, and the driving direction subsystem is configured to scale a font size of at least a subset of the textual driving direction steps based on a number of the textual driving direction steps included in the driving directions.
