Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for coupling a radio communication device to a host system. The apparatus comprises a housing including a counterpoise operatively coupled to the radio communication device. The apparatus also comprises a signal pathway operatively coupling the radio communication device to the host system. The apparatus thereby provides a counterpoise for the radio communication device which is external to both the host system and the radio communication device.

Abstract: Certain embodiments relate to electronic devices and methods for forming electronic devices having a component shielded by a reworkable RF shield. The RF shield may be positioned to surround one or more components on a substrate. The RF shield may include a plurality of sidewalls and a top wall, the plurality of sidewalls including bumps extending outward therefrom. A portion of the top wall may be removed from the RF shield. The one or more components positioned under the top wall of the RF shield may be repaired or replaced if necessary. A lid may then be positioned over the removed portion of the top wall and placed so that the bumps engage apertures in the lid and result in the lid being rigidly coupled to the sidewalls. In one aspect of certain embodiments, a groove may be formed on one or more surfaces of the top wall. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: The invention relates to refrigerating installations of which the operation is based on the combination of Peltier effect producer elements and thermosyphons with liquid-vapor phase change. Basically it is comprised of: 1) Refrigeration container, 2) Heat dissipator, 3) Closed and fluid-tight circuit containing a fluid which boils or evaporates in the hot focal point situated in the low zone and condenses in the high zone, and then returns due to the gravity action (evaporative thermosyphon); 4) Peltier effect elements (first step); 5) Thermosyphon which transports the heat to the cold faces of the Peltier effect pastilles of the first step; 6) Thermosyphon which exchanges the heat with the prior thermosyphon and transports said heat from the hot faces to the Peltier pastilles of the second step; 7) Peltier effect elements (second step). 8) Thermosyphon which transports the heat from the container at low temperature or at frozen good temperature to the cold faces of the Peltier plates of the second step.
