  • Patent number: 10029634
Abstract: A vehicle bumper assembly includes a bumper support and a facia member. The bumper support has a central portion and lateral portions on opposite sides of the central portion. The lateral portions are vertically higher than the central portion. The fascia member is shaped and configured to cover and conceal at least upper, side and rearward facing surfaces of the bumper support. The fascia member has a central fascia portion, a pair of lateral fascia portions and an upright fascia portion. The central fascia portion overlays and covers the central portion of the bumper support. The pair of lateral fascia portions overlay and cover the pair of lateral portions of the bumper support. The upright fascia portion extends upward from the central fascia portion from a first of the pair of lateral fascia portions to a second of the pair of lateral fascia portions.

  • Publication number: 20170232144
Abstract: A method for making a porous devitalised scaffold suitable for use in repair of osseous, chondral, or osteochondral defects in a mammal comprises the steps of providing micronized extracellular matrix (ECM) tissue, mixing the micronized extracellular matrix with a liquid to provide a slurry, and freeze-drying the slurry to provide the porous scaffold. A porous scaffold suitable for use in repair of osseous, chondral, or osteochondral defects in a mammal and comprising a porous freeze-dried matrix formed from micronised decellularised extracellular matrix tissue is also described.

  • Publication number: 20070185524
Abstract: A catheterization system and method including a rapid exchange emboli capture guidewire system comprising a distal emboli protection device is disclosed. The protection device is delivered to an area of interest via a delivery sheath including a longitudinal exit configured to permit the sheath to be peeled away from the guidewire to speed its removal. A capture sheath having a side-port is used to capture and retrieve the filter after a catheterization treatment procedure in a time saving manner. A torque steering device is used to steer the device and is adapted to clamp onto the guidewire while leaving sheaths free to prevent inadvertent steering of the sheaths. Using the sheaths of the present invention also allows systems to use shorter guidewires than prior art systems, further speeding the catheterization procedures being performed.

  • Patent number: 6991641
Abstract: A removable, low profile, vascular filter system for capture and retrieval of emboli while allowing continuous perfusion of blood, comprising a guidewire having proximal and distal markers, a filter delivery and deployment system, having an outer member and an inner member, and a filter removably attached near the distal end of the inner member. The filter comprises proximal and distal basket sleeves which position the filter between the proximal and distal markers on the guidewire, after the guidewire is in position past the vessel occlusion. The guidewire placement prior to filter delivery may facilitate access to the interventional site, especially through tortuous anatomy. Also, retrievability of the filter from the wire may avoid loss of guidewire position, which may occur following removal of filters permanently attached to guidewires.

  • Patent number: 5792979
Abstract: Two-element wad with pneumatic damping designed for the cartridge industry formed by two interchangeable elements connected to each other and which consist of a case and a damper-shutter. The case incorporates a series of foldable flaps and a valve that regulates the damping and injects air. Both the case and the damper-shutter have crosssectional walls and a convexo-concave shape that can absorb radial deformations to the symmetry axis of the wad. The damper-shutter has a four-fold action: it withstands the flexion and deformation of the material, the friction against the walls, and the compression of the air contained in the damper-shutter.
