  • Publication number: 20250061901
Abstract: A method for determining a decoding L×K matrix for decoding incoming L-dimensional channel audio into outgoing K-dimensional channel audio where L?2 and K?1 is provided. The method comprising: determining a panning control parameter p and a sample component d that minimizes a first difference metric between an L-dimensional input sample x and an estimation of the input sample xest=d a, where a=A(p) and where A(p) is a first pre-set mapping function that returns an L-dimensional panning vector a for a given panning control parameter p; generating a K-dimensional raw output sample yraw=d s, where s=S(p) and where S(p) is a second pre-set mapping function that returns a K-dimensional panning vector s for a given panning control parameter p, and; determining the decoding L×K matrix M by solving an optimization problem that minimizes a second difference metric between the K-dimensional raw output sample yraw and the decoded input sample x M.

  • Patent number: 11315357
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for fingerprint recognition. In an aspect, a method of a fingerprint sensing system of extracting at least one fingerprint descriptor from an image captured by a fingerprint sensor for enrolment in the fingerprint sensing system is provided. The method comprises capturing images of a finger contacting the fingerprint sensor, detecting at least one fingerprint feature in each captured image, extracting fingerprint data from an area surrounding a location of the detected feature in each captured image, and extracting a fingerprint descriptor by performing a transform of the fingerprint data extracted from the area surrounding the location of the detected feature in each captured image, wherein a size of the area is selected such that the area comprises sufficient information to allow a duplicated descriptor to be discarded for the captured images.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 14, 2020
Date of Patent: April 26, 2022
Assignee: FINGERPRINT CARDS ANACATUM IP AB
Inventors: Metodi Yankov, Søren Skovgaard Christensen, Pedro Højen-Sørensen, Mikkel Stegmann

  • Patent number: 7991059
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, apparatus, and computer program product, wherein frequency co-variances or correlations of a measured power delay profile or frequency correlation function are estimated at two different non-zero sub-carrier lags of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing channel. A ratio of squared magnitudes of the two estimated frequency co-variances is calculated and a delay spread or coherence bandwidth of said channel is estimated based on the calculated ratio.

Date of Patent: August 2, 2011
    Assignee: Nokia Corporation

  • Publication number: 20080317177
Abstract: A Wiener filtering arrangement includes a first filter configured to output at an output first signal estimates and a polyphase filter having an input configured to receive the first signal estimates and an output. The polyphase filter is configured to use only a subset of a plurality of reference signals to provide second signal estimates at said output.
