  • Publication number: 20150177359
Abstract: The invention pertains to a Method for using and generating a map, in particular an indoor map, allowing for localizing a position based on one or more detected wireless signals originating from one or more sources (SRC1, SRC2, SRC3, SRC4), whereby a source (SRC1, SRC2, SRC3, SRC4) is selected from the group comprising near field communication device, mobile telephone, W-LAN access point, Bluetooth access point, etc. The method comprises a step of detecting (100) at certain positions (P1, P2, P3, P4); each of said certain positions corresponding to a position on the map, by a plurality of detectors (MD1, MD2, MD3, MD4) at substantially the same time at least one wireless signal originating from at least one of said one or more sources (SRC1, SRC2, SRC3, SRC4) with respect to its signal strength.

  • Patent number: 6901410
Abstract: The design, internal data representation and query model of the invention, a hierarchical distributed caching system for semi-structured documents based on LDAP technology is presented that brings both, the semi-structured data model and the LDAP data model together into a system that provides the ideal characteristics for the efficient processing of XPath queries over XML documents. Transformation algorithms and experimental results have also been shown that prove the feasibility of the invention as a distributed caching system especially tailored for semi-structured data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 23, 2001
Date of Patent: May 31, 2005
Inventors: Pedro José Marrón, Georg Lausen
