  • Patent number: 10984469
Abstract: For a financial consolidation process, a graphical user interface is presented, providing task icons representing financial consolidation tasks for business entities, including a view with business entities along a business entity axis and tasks along a task axis in a grid. Tasks for business entities are presented as task icons at an intersection of axes. A visual feature of each task icon indicates status, including indication of receipt status, so that the status of submissions is presented efficiently to the user. Responsive to receiving a user selection of one of the task icons, the same view shows an identification for a person assigned to the task of the selected task icon, wherein the status and person identification in the view enables the user to efficiently identify and contact assigned persons for expediting completion of missing submissions.

  • Publication number: 20140173219
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system for updating observable values for multiple user-interface components. A computer system reads first values indexed by keys from a cache, in response to receiving a request from the multiple user-interface components. The computer system reads second values, which are indexed by the keys, from persistent storage. The computer system compares the first values and the second values based on the keys. The computer system writes the second values as new values of the first values in the cache. The computer system notifies one or more observers for respective ones of the first values, wherein the respective ones of the first values are changed. And, the computer system notifies the one or more observers for the first values that reading and writing operations are finished.
