  • Publication number: 20120328381
Abstract: A drilling apparatus and control method is disclosed. An auxiliary device can be connected to a drilling machine. The auxiliary device includes a camera aligned in a working direction for recording an image of a working surface and a drill hole generated by the drilling machine. An image processing device is provided for identifying the drill hole in the image. Based on a distance from the drill hole to a reference point in the image, an evaluation device determines a distance from the drilling machine to the workpiece. A display device serves to indicate the determined distance.

  • Publication number: 20120222876
Abstract: An installation method for an expansion anchor is carried out by repeatedly exerting rotary-percussive strikes onto the shank (2) of the expansion anchor (1) by an impact screwdriver. The repeat rate (Ntarget) of the rotary-percussive strikes is selected as a function of the tightening torque prescribed for expanding the expansion sleeve (3) of the expansion anchor (1). The impact screwdriver stops generating rotary-percussive strikes when the detected mean rotational speed (d) of the shank falls below a threshold value (D).

  • Publication number: 20120162406
Abstract: An accessory that can be connected to a machine drill is provided. A projector is provided to project a first light spot and a second light spot to a work piece to be processed. A camera is provided to record the first light spot and the second light spot in an image. A processing device is provided to determine an incline of the machine drill in reference to the work piece, based on a first distance of the first light spot from a reference point recorded in the image and a second distance of the second light spot from the reference point recorded in the image. A display device is coupled to the processing device and displays the determined incline. The light spots may be embodied punctual or planar.

  • Publication number: 20120163932
Abstract: An accessory is provided that can be connected to a power drill or can be fastened at the power drill in a detachable fashion. The accessory may comprise detachable or fixed means for fastening at the power drill, e.g., clips, sleeves, clamps, screws. A measuring device is provided to determine measurements, including an incline of the power drill in reference to an operating surface and/or a distance of the power drill from the operating surface. A projector is provided to project the symbols according to the measurements determined to the operating surface.

  • Publication number: 20120111589
Abstract: A control method for a hand-held power tool, in response to the actuation of a main switch of the hand-held power tool, carries out the following steps. An identification of transponders in the vicinity of the hand-held power tool is requested in that a transmitter transmits a radio signal. The identification of the at least one responding transponder is received by a receiver. The received identifications are compared to one or more identifications that are stored in a memory unit. The hand-held power tool is switched on if at least one of the identifications stored in the memory unit matches at least one of the received identifications.

  • Publication number: 20120105825
Abstract: A measuring device, having: a housing; a distance measuring unit situated in the housing uses an optical measuring beam, with the aid of which the distance between a reference point and at least one measuring point on a target object is measurable without contact; a photoelectric image acquisition unit situated in the housing having a viewfinder and camera lens situated in the housing as well as an image path connecting them for detecting target points of the target object, an image processing unit and a control and computation unit with the aid of which the image of the image processing unit is displayable. The image processing unit defines target points pixels in exactly one single photoelectric image, the control and computation unit allocating the distance of the reference point to the measuring point to at least one of the pixels, the allocation available for further processing.

  • Publication number: 20110315414
Abstract: A control method for a screw including the following steps: a spindle (14) is driven by a motor (11) in order to turn a screw (19) around an axis of rotation (15). A magnetic field is generated around the turning screw (19). A modulation of the magnetic field caused by the turning screw (19) is detected by an active magnetic-field sensor (38). A switch-off criterion is selected by a screw-recognition device (28) on the basis of the detected modulation. The turning of the screw (19) is stopped by a switch-off device (24) as soon as the switch-off criterion is met.

  • Publication number: 20080289839
Abstract: In a method for controlling a drive (4) of an electrically operated screwdriving power tool (2) during a screwdriving process, a tool holder (14) with a screw bit (16) fastened thereto is acted upon by the drive (4) to drive a fastening element (18) having a contact area (24) into a constructional component (20), with the screw bit movable up to a maximum screw-in value (Dmax) at a speed (D) and a operational torque (MA) generated between the screw bit (16) and the fastening element (18), and after it has been detected that a predetermined triggering screw-in depth (s0) has been reached, the speed (D) is reduced from the maximum screw-in value (Dmax) during a tightening process (AV), and, when it has been detected that a determined end value of the operational torque (MA) is reached, the screwdriving process is terminated.

  • Patent number: 6593756
Abstract: The invention relates to a tactile sensor in which a fiber (1) is linked with an instrument transformer (4) which is configured as a capacitor in such a manner that if the free end of the fiber is touched by an object, the touch is converted to electric signals. The force acting between the object and the sensor is kept at a minimum by using soft, elastic fibers. The inventive tactile sensor is especially useful for applications in robotics since due to the appropriate arrangement of the sensor on the contact surface of the robot gripper the sensor function is independent of any forces that might occur during the manipulation of objection. Another advantage of the tactile sensor is that it allows the dynamic registration of touches, thereby making it possible to determine the relative speed between the sensor and the object and to detect gliding or slipping movements on the basis of detected vibrations.
