  • Publication number: 20250122510
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for constructing a threonine-producing engineered bacterium. According to the present invention, a 2-methylcitrate synthase 1-inactivated strain (Corynebacterium) is applied to the production of threonine, and the production of threonine produced by the 2-methylcitrate synthase 1-inactivated strain is increased by about 42% compared with that produced by an unengineered strain. When the application of the 2-methylcitrate synthase 1-inactivated strain is further combined with enhanced expression of at least one of aspartate aminotransferase, aspartate kinase, homoserine dehydrogenase, threonine synthase, NAD kinase, fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase 2 and the like in the threonine synthesis pathway, the production of threonine is improved. The method provides a new way for large-scale production of threonine and has high application value.

  • Publication number: 20250101473
Abstract: The present invention relates to the technical field of microbial engineering. Specifically disclosed are a recombinant microorganism, a method for constructing same and use thereof. According to the present invention, by means of constructing a phosphate acetyltransferase-inactivated strain and applying the strain to the production of threonine, the threonine-producing ability of the strain is remarkably improved, and the strain has a remarkably increased production of threonine as compared to an unmodified strain. Combined with attenuated expression or inactivation of acetate kinase, HTH-type transcriptional regulator and the like, as well as improved activity of pyruvate carboxylase and enzymes involved in a threonine synthesis-related pathway, the production of threonine is further improved. The described modifications can be used in the fermentative production of threonine and have relatively good application value.

  • Publication number: 20240291010
Abstract: Methods useful for the manufacturing of microfluidic cells useful in electronics and other applications are disclosed. In this technique, an air cushioned pressure supplies the force to bond a membrane, which can be made from one or more of the sulfonated tetrafluoroethylene polymers commercially known as Nafion™ (i.e., proton exchange membranes) or from other thermoplastic substrates. A substrate is compressed and templated while it is simultaneously sealed inside the cell. The resultant microcells are strongly sealed while being patterned according to their application.

  • Publication number: 20240257991
Abstract: Near ambient temperature processing has successfully resulted in highly conductive coatings formed from silver nanowires. The electrically conductive materials can have a high loading of silver and low resistivities. The highly conductive materials can be formed using aqueous inks with high loadings of silver nanowires with greater than 3 wt % metal that is primarily silver nanowires. Methods of preparing the high loading inks can comprise forming a good dispersion of the silver nanowires and removing solvent to concentrate the dispersions. A range of binders can be used including, for example, UV crosslinkable binders. Generally, the organic concentration of the highly conductive materials is no more than 25 wt %, although this can correspond to higher volume fractions of organics while still achieving good electrical conduction.

  • Publication number: 20230416552
Abstract: Room temperature processing has successfully resulted in highly conductive coatings formed from silver nanowires with a cellulose binder. The conductive coatings can be formed with silver salts to fuse the silver nanowires into a unitary fused metal nanostructured network. Even without added silver salts, low sheet resistance values can be obtained. Room temperature processing can be effective over a range of transmittance values from highly transparent to modestly transparent to translucent to opaque. The ability to form the transparent coatings opens the processing to a wide range of substrates that are not processible with higher process temperatures.
