  • Patent number: 10985394
Abstract: Bioelectrochemical systems (BES) having configurations with spiral wound structures and with frame-and-plate structures are provided. Systems may allow for production of an electrical current that is at least partially generated by anodophilic microorganisms connected directly or indirectly to an electrode. A spiral wound or frame-and-plate type bioelectrochemical system may include an anolyte influent point, a catholyte influent point, electrodes, ion selective membranes, mesh separators, gas collection devices, an exterior containment vessel, and one or more external electrical devices.

  • Publication number: 20180285014
Abstract: A data storage method includes: separately dividing a data block and a reference data block into N equal-sized sub-data blocks, comparing a sub-data block and a reference sub-data block corresponding to a same location identifier, determining, in the N sub-data blocks, a sub-data block that can be deduplicated and a sub-data block that cannot be deduplicated, performing a deduplication operation on the sub-data block that can be deduplicated, selecting a representative sub-data block of the sub-data block that cannot be deduplicated, performing an exclusive OR operation on data of the sub-data block that cannot be deduplicated and data of the representative sub-data block, compressing a result of the exclusive OR operation using run-length encoding, and storing a compression result and location information of the sub-data block that cannot be deduplicated.

  • Publication number: 20110128251
Abstract: A method of detecting a contact on a touch-screen panel including a plurality of touch-sensitive units arranged on a touch-sensitive surface. The method comprises receiving at least two induction signals induced by a contact of an object with the touch-sensitive surface at a point in between at least two adjacent touch-sensitive units. The at least two adjacent touch-sensitive units include a first touch-sensitive unit and a second touch-sensitive unit. The at least two induction signals include a first induction signal induced by contact with the first touch-sensitive unit and a second induction signal induced by contact with the second touch-sensitive unit. The method further comprises combining the first and second induction signals to produce at least part of a touch signal, and processing the touch signal to generate a control signal and outputting the control signal to a terminal application device to enable user to view data from coordinates of the contact point.

  • Publication number: 20050136755
Abstract: An electrical connector having an electrically non-conductive carrier, the carrier having a plurality of contact pin mounting holes extending there through. Each hole has a square cross-section. An electrically conductive contact pin is passed through each hole. A retainer is provided on the pin separating a leading pin section from a trailing pin section. The trailing pin section has a length slightly longer than the length of the hole and a diameter slightly less than the width of the hole. The retainer and the contact head both have a diameter at least slightly greater than the width of the hole to retain the pin in the hole. An electrical contact pin for use with such a multi-pin electrical connector, a method of inserting such contact pin may be provided.
