  • Publication number: 20240178102
Abstract: A package includes a frontside redistribution layer (RDL) structure, a semiconductor die on the frontside RDL structure, and a backside RDL structure on the semiconductor die including a first RDL, and a backside connector extending from a distal side of the first RDL and including a tapered portion having a width that decreases in a direction away from the first RDL, wherein the tapered portion includes a contact surface at an end of the tapered portion. A method of forming the package may include forming the backside redistribution layer (RDL) structure, attaching a semiconductor die to the backside RDL structure, forming an encapsulation layer around the semiconductor die on the backside RDL structure, and forming a frontside RDL structure on the semiconductor die and the encapsulation layer.

  • Patent number: 6219251
Abstract: A retention module comprises a U-shaped bracket and a pair of retention mechanisms. The bracket includes a base portion and a pair of support portions formed at opposite ends of the base portion. The base portion defines a main slot for snugly receiving an elongate connector. Each support portion includes a lateral wall and a pair of retention walls inwardly extending from opposite edges of the lateral wall. An elongate notch is defined in each lateral wall and exposed to a top thereof. Each retention mechanism includes a body and a pair of ears. The ears are adapted to engage with the notches of the bracket thereby retaining the retention mechanism thereto. A groove is defined in a surface of the body and exposed to a bottom thereof for securing an upper corner of the CPU.

  • Patent number: 6089899
Abstract: A module card retainer includes a base closure having two elongate side walls connected to two U-shaped end walls and defining a slot therebetween. Two clamping arms each have a central plate and two side plates pivotably connected to two side wall portions of the U-shaped end wall, respectively. Each clamping arm defines an inner channel between the central plate and the side plates. A seat is attached to each side wall portion of the U-shaped end wall. A locking member is retained in the seat and cooperates with a bolt to fix the seat onto a mother board.

  • Patent number: 6086401
Abstract: A terminal comprises a terminal body and a leg extending downward from a first edge of the terminal body. An elastic arm extends upward from a second edge opposite to the first end, and a grasping plate is integrally formed at an end of the elastic arm. The grasping plate includes a curved surface for receiving a mating terminal with a low insertion force. The elastic arm has a section of reduced dimension to facilitate deformation of the grasping plate when contacting a mating terminal.

  • Patent number: 6056583
Abstract: A foldable supporting bracket assembly for use with a connector comprises a supporting bracket having a mounting joint at each end thereof, and a supporting pillar pivotably assembled to the mounting joint. Interengaging means for securely positioning the supporting pillar with respect to the mounting joint includes a raised portion integrally formed at a base wall of the pillar. The raised portion defines a directing passage therethrough. A block portion is integrally formed between lugs of the mounting joint and defines a retaining passage therethrough. A latch tab is inserted through the directing passage and the retaining passage thereby securely positioning the supporting pillar with respect to the mounting joint.
