  • Patent number: 7738411
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for communicating information between a first wireless communication device (10) and a communications network (30) via a particular second wireless communication device (20), the communications network being said second wireless communication device's own communications network. In the method, the user identification data of said first wireless communication device (10) is transmitted to said second wireless communication device (20). In the method, said second wireless communication device (20) makes a contact to its own communications network (30) on the basis of the user identification data of said first wireless communication device (10) for communicating information between the first wireless communication device (10) and said communications network (30) via said second wireless communication device (20). The invention also relates to said first and second communications devices (10, 20).

  • Patent number: 7155517
Abstract: A system and method for providing reference information to a user of a wireless terminal operating within a wireless network. Request identifiers are entered at the wireless terminal to identify desired reference information corresponding to the request. The desired reference information is presented to the user via the wireless terminal if the desired reference information is locally stored at the wireless terminal. If the desired reference information is not locally stored, the request identifier is transmitted from the wireless terminal to a data server, such as a dictionary server, operating within a second network via a gateway bridging the networks, and is presented on the wireless terminal.

  • Publication number: 20030005327
Abstract: A system for protecting copyrighted materials which are digitally transferred. A terminal is wirelessly connected to a server, digital rights management engine and content storage device. After the user is authenticated, the server gains authorization to forward the content to the user. By having almost all functions in the secure area of the server, illegal copying is less likely to occur.

  • Publication number: 20020159596
Abstract: A personal trusted device is capable of communicating with a rendering machine such as an audio amplifier. Content to be played on the amplifier is selected by a user of the personal trusted device, the relevant permissions being negotiated between the device and the machine. Thus, it is possible for encrypted digital content to be rendered at a location and on a machine suited to the user's requirements.

  • Patent number: 5590415
Abstract: A method and a device for supervising the condition of an antenna by measuring the ratio of the magnitude of a transmitted signal to the magnitude of a signal reflected from the antenna and by using, in addition to fixed alarm limits, an adjustable alarm limit, by which the condition of the transmitter device can be found out.

  • Patent number: 5551056
Abstract: A method for securing the operation of a telecommunications network in a cellular radio system, in which telecommunications network base stations are connected in series in such a way that at least one base station serves as a repeater for telecommunication signals of preceding base stations. For securing the operation of the telecommunications network, the base station is provided with a control unit monitoring its operation and with a repeater connected in parallel with the base station, the repeater having a power source independent of the base station. When the control unit detects a failure at the base station, the signals to be transmitted in the telecommunications network are directed to the repeater which transmits them further in the telecommunications network.
