  • Patent number: 11825385
Abstract: An apparatus in a network function comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer code for one or more programs, the at least one memory and the computer code configured, with the at least one processor, to cause the apparatus at least to: determine that a protocol data unit session for a user equipment is to be updated to add or modify multicast information; and provide multicast context information associated with said user equipment which causes said user equipment to receive multicast data associated with said multicast context information.

  • Publication number: 20230137814
Abstract: Techniques for facilitating onboarding to a non-public network is provided. Provisioning parameters may be provided to User Equipment (UE) from a Default Credential Server (DCS) via a secure communication tunnel. Additionally or alternatively, provisioning parameter container(s) including readable provisioning parameters for an Onboarding Network (ONN), and secure provisioning parameters for the UE, may be transmitted to the UE via the ONN. The disclosed methods and apparatuses enable the UE to onboard to a non-public network using the provisioning parameters, and to verify the integrity of the provisioning parameters and ensure the provisioning parameters are not modified by an unauthorized device.

  • Patent number: 7664073
Abstract: The present invention is a method for performing a mobile user terminal route update in a telecommunication network operated based on the Internet Protocol, the network comprising at least two network transceiver device gateways each communicating with at least one mobile user terminal, at least one routing element providing a route for a communication connection between a mobile first user terminal and a second user terminal, the second user terminal communicating via a border gateway and the at least one routing element with mobile first user terminal, and wherein each user terminal is identified by an Internet Protocol address, the method comprising the steps of detecting an occurrence of a handoff condition for the mobile first user terminal for a handoff from a first one to a second one of the at least two network transceiver device gateways, initiating a handoff procedure at the mobile first user terminal, the first and the second network transceiver device gateways and the border gateway, and the trans

  • Patent number: 7215958
Abstract: The present invention relates to a relocation method, system and network element for changing a serving radio resource control entity After an initial operating state in which a user equipment (30) has radio links with a serving network element (20) and a drift network element (21) supporting said serving network element (20) with a wireless connection, the serving network element (20) transmits a relocation-specific information to a target network element (22). Based on the relocation-specific information, the target network element (22) establishes a link to the drift network element (21), such that the drift network element (21) can receive user traffic from both the serving network element (20) and the target network element (20). Then, the radio resource control is relocated to the target network element (20). The relocation-specific information may comprise an identifier or a list of identifiers of drift network elements.
