  • Patent number: 11963104
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to mechanism for interactions for entering into the sleep mode. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the network device transmits the information of go-to-sleep, GTS, to the terminal device on a lower layer (for example, the physical layer). The lower protocol layer informs the higher protocol layer (for example, the MAC layer) of the information of GTS. The terminal device determines how to monitor the physical downlink channel based on the information of GTS. Further, the terminal device may switch bandwidth part based on the information of GTS. In this way, the GTS is able to significantly save power.

  • Publication number: 20240114585
Abstract: A UE receives configuration of early state handling assistance information and determines whether early state handling assistance should be reported in a request for a connection to a network. The UE requests the connection to the network, performing one of the following: reporting the early state handling assistance from the network using RRC message(s); or not reporting the early state handling assistance from the network, by the UE using RRC message(s) without an indication of early state handling assistance. A base station transmits the configuration, receives the RRC message(s), and determines whether the message(s) include reporting of the early state handling assistance.

  • Publication number: 20240114457
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a simple and power-efficient procedure that allows using wake-up signaling in inter-cell mobility scenarios. The procedure is based on configuring a Wake-Up Signal (WUS) Beacon Occasion (WBO) for each Tracking Area (TA) of a user device. A WUS beacon corresponding to each cell in the TA is transmitted once at a cell-specific time offset within the WBO. The WBO is configured together with a mapping table that maps each of the cell-specific time offsets to cell-specific information. The cell-specific information may comprise a cell ID and/or an indicator of a cell-specific frequency and/or cell-specific frequency range to be used for synchronization signal reception (e.g., Global Synchronization Channel Number (GSCN)). Each TA comprises intra-frequency cells only. By using the WBO, the user device may reduce its power consumption by avoiding switching from its sleep state to its active state when doing cell reselections in the TA.

  • Publication number: 20240114582
Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to transmission in a small data transmission mode. A first device selects, based on a mode selection configuration, a small data transmission mode to be initiated from a plurality of small data transmission modes. The second device determines selection of a small data transmission mode to be initiated by a first device from a plurality of small data transmission modes. The first device performs a small data transmission procedure with the second device according to the selected small data transmission mode. • Publication number: 20240073920
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of resource configuration for transmission of DMRS. The method comprises receiving, from a second device, information associated with a set of resources for monitoring a control channel between the first device and the second device for a Small Data Transmission (SDT) procedure, between the first device and the second device; monitoring the control channel based on the information; and performing the SDT based on a result of the monitoring procedure. In this way, the terminal device may determine a set of resources for the PDCCH monitoring for the SDT and therefore the blocking probability in the common search space can be avoid and the system efficiency can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20240072871
Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to transmit power control for beam management. The first device transmits a first configuration to a second device. The first configuration indicates information about at least one candidate beam assigned to the second device. Alternatively, or in addition, the first configuration further indicates a correspondence between the at least one candidate beam and a plurality of transmission occasions, where the plurality of transmission occasions are allocated by the first device for transmission from the second device to the first device while the second device is in an inactive mode. The first device detects transmissions from the second device according to the first configuration at the plurality of transmission occasions. Through this solution, a beam management solution and efficient resource configuration for a device in an inactive mode is proposed.
