  • Patent number: 11844604
Abstract: A method for evaluating for the presence of the COVID disease by detecting one or more biomarkers using a breathalyzer (138). The breath sample (2) taken from the subject (10) is passed over a sensor (140) which changes resistance in the presence of nitric oxide as a function of concentration. The resistance pattern of the subject (10) having the COVID disease will have a distinct shape, approximating the appearance of the small Greek letter omega (?). Test results can be generated in less than a minute.

  • Publication number: 20230067000
Abstract: An electrochromic device comprising a substrate, a set of electrodes disposed on or within the substrate, and a layer comprising ?-WO3 disposed in electrical communication with the set of electrodes, wherein the layer of ?-WO3 exhibits polarization switching are described. Methods of making and using the electrochromic devices are also described. The electrochromic devices are used for detecting acetone in a fluid. The observed change in color of the ?-WO3 layer can be correlated with a subject's medical condition, such as diabetes.

  • Publication number: 20210015399
Abstract: A method for measuring levels of specific biomarkers in exhaled breath. Specific compounds such as nitric oxide and isoprene can be monitored from a subject's breath. The resultant measurements can provide indications of the subject's medical condition, or response to an applied stress.
