    Abstract: An apparatus for disconnecting an alternating current (AC) power to an electrical space heater is disclosed. The apparatus includes a detection module for transmitting a transmission signal over a wireless medium to an electronic module, and an electronic module for receiving the transmission signal. The electronic module disconnects the AC power to the heater upon detecting a change in the transmission signal.
