    Abstract: A linear actuator includes an actuator body including a housing, a gear set mounted inside the housing, a drive unit mounted outside the housing for rotating the gear set, a transmission mechanism including a lead screw with an axial rod at one end thereof fastened to the gear set, a stopper component set fastened to a neck of the axial rod, two bearing housings mounted on the axial rod at two opposite ends of the neck and two thrust bearings respectively mounted in the bearing housings. When the lead screw is rotated, a first stopper block of the stopper component set is engaged with the neck of the axial rod to force the stopper component set against the thrust bearings, enabling the linear actuator to carry greater axial thrust or tensile load, increasing the high impact load strength of the linear actuator and ensuring overall structural stability and reliability.

    Abstract: A safety linear actuator assembly includes an actuator including a hollow holder frame, a gear set mounted in hollow holder frame, a driver for rotating gear set and a transmission mechanism that includes a lead screw having a stem located at one end and coupled to gear set and a pin mounted in a pin hole at stem, two bearing holders mounted on stem at two sides of the pin and two thrust bearings mounted on the stem and respectively accommodated in the bearing holders, and a retaining ring mounted in a locating groove at the stem. If the stem breaks accidentally due to that the lead screw bears excessive torsion and impact, the retaining ring will be forced against the respective bearing holders and the hollow holder frame, stopping the lead screw from escaping out of the hollow holder frame and assuring a high level of operational safety.

These miniaturized interconnect connectors minimize overall size, while at the same time offering acceptable and even improved electrical performance over prior art interconnect connector designs. In one exemplary embodiment, the interconnect connector comprises a plug and corresponding receptacle manufactured from a laser direct structuring (LDS) polymer material. In another embodiment, the interconnect connector comprises a composite structure which takes advantages of the properties of multiple selected materials. In yet another embodiment of the invention, precisely plated polymers such as the aforementioned LDS polymer are utilized in conjunction with known technologies such as flexible printed circuits (FPC) to produce miniaturized interconnect connectors.
