Abstract: Methods and apparatuses pertaining to dynamic memory sharing may involve sharing a first portion of a memory associated with a first module for use by a second module. The first portion of the memory may be reclaimed for use by the first module in real time upon a determination that there is an increase in demand for the memory by the first module that requires reclamation, such that the first module begins to use the first portion of the memory before the second module finishes a process of aborting to use the first portion of the first memory.

Abstract: A wireless communication method for performing a packet-switched (PS) data service in a mobile communications device with a plurality of subscriber identity modules (SIM) is provided. A PS service is first performed with a first subscriber identity module. During performing the PS service with the first subscriber identity module, it is then determined packet loss status regarding whether a packet in the downlink transmission have been successfully received. A frequency for receiving signals on control channel or circuit-switched channel associated with the first subscriber identity module or signals on control channel or circuit-switched channel or packet-switched channel associated with a second subscriber identity module is adaptively adjusted according to the determination result while performing the PS service with the first subscriber identity module.

Abstract: An automatic call control method includes the steps of: receiving a mobile terminated call; checking whether the mobile terminated call matches a call rule; and if the mobile terminated call matches the call rule, rejecting the mobile terminated call, and then performing a callback according to a predetermined call approach corresponding to the call rule.

Abstract: A detection system for detecting fan's connection and disconnection states includes a detection module connected to a fan and a host. The fan has four external connection terminals for connecting to the detection module. Two of the four external connection terminals are a rotation speed control terminal, via which a detection signal and a rotation speed control signal are transmitted from the detection module to the fan, and a rotation speed feedback terminal, via which a fed back detection signal and a fan rotation speed signal are transmitted from the fan to the detection module. The host determines whether the fan is connected to or disconnected from the detection module according to whether or not a fed back detection signal is received by the detection module from the fan.

Abstract: A method for performing radio link control (RLC) with round trip time (RTT) awareness is provided, where the method is applied to an electronic device. The method includes: dynamically estimating an index according to one or more factors; and based upon the index, dynamically adjusting a status prohibit timer value of a status prohibit timer for performing RLC. For example, the index can be an RTT of transmission/retransmission, and the step of dynamically estimating the index may further include: dynamically estimating the RTT of transmission/retransmission by detecting a time period between a first time point and a second time point, wherein the first time point represents time of sending a negative acknowledgement (NACK) status report. In another example, the index can be an RTT awareness index, where the method may include estimating the RTT awareness index according to at least one predetermined estimation function. An associated apparatus is also provided.
