Abstract: A method for video playing includes in response to detecting that the client displays a preset page, obtaining first configuration information of at least one target video associated with the preset page and local cache information of the client, wherein the first configuration information comprises identification information of the target video, and the local cache information of the client comprises identification information of a video that has been cached by the client. The method further includes determining a video cache state of the client according to the first configuration information and the local cache information, wherein the video cache state is configured to indicate a cache progress of the at least one target video by the client, downloading at least one target video whose caching is not completed according to the video cache state, and in response to a user operation, playing the at least one target video.

Abstract: Disclosures are a method and electronic device for pushing a video over a CDN, where the method includes: searching for a currently set number of CDN nodes which are at the shortest spatial distances as target nodes; transmitting a list retrieval request to each target node so that the target node returns a video content list of buffered video contents upon reception of the list retrieval request; integrating the video content lists returned by the target nodes into a list of popular video contents upon reception of the video content lists; and displaying the list of popular video contents for playing for a user on demand.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present disclosure discloses a method and a device for processing streaming media. The method comprises: receiving time shifting instructions coming from users in a process of playing streaming media files, wherein the time shifting instructions comprise a target time point; determining TS (Transport Stream) segments corresponding to the target time point according to index files of the segments corresponding to the streaming media files; determining location information of a key frame closest to the target time point in the TS segments; playing the TS segments from the location information of the key frame. According to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the TS segments can be directly played from the key frame closest to the target time point of time shifting, so that the time shifting accuracy can be improved in a process of playing the streaming media files.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a video playing method and device. The method comprises the following steps: a player in a playing page obtains a storage address of a target video when the playing page is loaded; a playing component for the target video is determined by analyzing the storage address; a data packet of the target video is obtained according to the storage address; the playing component is used to process the obtained data packet to generate buffered data; the target video is played according to the buffered data if a playing command is detected after the completion of loading the playing page.

Abstract: A method, client and system are provided for a carousel media fragment. The method includes acquiring an index list continuously updated by a server. An updated index list is acquired and the old list is discarded. The sequence of a media fragment currently to be downloaded is recorded when discarding the old index list. The sequence of the media fragment ranking is identified in first broadcast place on the updated index list. When determining that the two sequences are different and discontinuous, an absent sequence is added therebetween. A supplemental broadcast address of a corresponding media fragment is generated according to the added sequence and the recorded sequence. According to the corresponding sequence, the supplemental broadcast address and the broadcast address on the updated index list are sequentially combined to obtain a current index list. The corresponding media fragment is downloaded for broadcasting according to the broadcast address.
