  • Publication number: 20070030733
Abstract: A faulty storage area marking and accessing method and system applicable to a data storage unit (e.g. an embedded memory integrated in a SoC) having a plurality of storage areas, for providing the data storage unit with an automatic faulty storage area marking function for access control, so as to inspect and identify faulty storage areas and operable storage areas of the data storage unit. Therefore, when a client unit intends to access the data storage unit, the faulty storage areas are avoided being accessed and only the operable storage areas are accessed. This feature allows the SoC to still operate properly even if the embedded memory thereof has faulty storage areas, without having to replace the entire SoC.

  • Publication number: 20070033350
Abstract: A ruined storage area marking and accessing method and system are proposed. The method and the system are for use with a data storage unit having a plurality of storage areas, for providing the data storage unit with a ruined storage area marking and accessing function to constantly inspect ruined storage areas and operable storage areas of the storage areas of the data storage unit. Therefore, when a client unit intends to access the data storage unit, addresses of the ruined storage areas would be redirected to addresses of the operable storage areas. When being applied to a system on chip (SOC), the method allows an embedded memory with ruined storage areas to be nevertheless operative without having to replace the entire chip.

  • Publication number: 20060141571
Abstract: The present invention is related to a method to promote cell growth, comprising: (a) cloning one or more aspartase coding sequence into a vector to become a recombinant vector, wherein the recombinant vector including a promoter and one or more aspartase coding sequences manipulated to link and insert into the downstream of said promoter; (b) transforming the recombinant vector into host cells and producing recombinant host cells; and (c) culturing the host cells in culture medium and making the cells to express aspartase, then promoting said recombinant host cells growth. The aspartase can not only promote cell growth but also increase the amount of the target gene expression.

  • Publication number: 20050287669
Abstract: Disclosed herein are nucleic acid constructs and expression vectors for enhancing the production of recombinant polypeptides/proteins, and methods for the massive production of recombinant polypeptides/proteins, in which a first nucleic acid sequence encoding thioredoxin and a second nucleic acid sequence encoding hemoglobin are cloned into a host cell, thereby enhancing the capability of the thus formed recombinant host cell in producing a selected gene product, and thereby assisting said recombinant host cell in relieving intracellular stress due to the overproduction of said gene product.

  • Patent number: 5656525
Abstract: A new method for forming an array of high aspect ratio field emitter for flat panel Field Emission Displays (FEDs) was accomplished. The method involves forming on an insulated substrate an array of parallel cathodes and then depositing a dielectric layer and forming a array of parallel gate electrodes essentially orthogonal to the array of cathode electrodes. Opening are then made in the upper gate electrodes and dielectric layer over the lower cathode electrodes. The field emitters with high aspect-ratios are then formed on the cathode by depositing an emitter material, such as molybdenum, in the opening while heating the substrate to high temperatures. The emitter material is removed elsewhere on the substrate by utilizing a release layer and thereby completing the gated field emitter. This high temperature method results in high aspect-ratio gated emitters that allow the inter-electrode dielectric layer to be increased and thereby improving the circuit performance.
