Abstract: A stabilization and support for a catheter provides stress distribution for the loads otherwise imposed by the catheter interface hardware such as the base and hub components that may otherwise cause stresses in the skin and associated damage and sores. A mount is sized to support a catheter installation extending substantially tangentially to the surface of the skin of a subject, thus permitting stabilization of the catheter without exposing the skin to the sharp, highly stressful edges of catheter equipment. A transparent securement renders the catheter available for visual inspection of the condition of the catheter and the surrounding skin.
