Publication number: 20190340900Abstract: The present disclosure relates to integrated systems, methods and apparatuses for assisting individuals in managing acute life-threatening conditions. A system in accordance with the current disclosure may comprise an electronic circuit configured to be attached to a container of a medication and one or more devices in communication with the electronic circuit in a private network. In an aspect, the one or more devices may work in concert to determine the safety level of an individual based on predetermined usage settings. In some aspects, the system may be configured to determine whether a medication would expire before its manufactured expiry date. In another aspect, the system may assist an individual in locating a medication. In a further aspect, the system may determine whether an individual is having an anaphylactic reaction. In some aspects, the system may detect a known allergen and alert the individual.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2018Publication date: November 7, 2019Applicant: Above the Fold, LLCInventors: Samuel Herschkowitz, Abby Herzig, Joshua Kornberg, Seymour Fein, Deborah Adler, Eric Freitag, Robert R. Pascazio, Matthew Chin, Gareth Brown, Stephen Kaes, Troy Yoshimoto, Ritik Dholakia, Mike Klodginski, Khoi Uong, Erin Woo, Pepin Gelardi, Theodore Ullrich

Patent number: 10465422Abstract: An interchangeable electronic lock mechanism provides selective access to a motor controlled latching system including a motorized pin to lock and unlock a knob assembly. The lock mechanism may be used to replace key operated locking cores, on the exterior of a storage unit, with a plug and optional adapter inserted into a remaining shell housing, and a driver to control access to a storage unit. Manual rotation of the knob activates the drive assembly to control access to the storage unit. An optional break away security feature in the knob inhibits unauthorized unlatching of the lock. When the lock is unlatched, the knob rotates the drive assembly including the plug and adapter within the shell housing, and in turn, activates the driver to operate the lock assembly in the storage unit. An optional modular chassis assembly includes a removable array of components for testing, maintenance and repair.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2017Date of Patent: November 5, 2019Assignee: 2603701 ONTARIO INC.Inventors: Theodore Ullrich, John McLeod, Tonino Sabelli, Dean DiPietro, Pepin Gelardi

Patent number: 9663972Abstract: An interchangeable electronic lock includes an electronic access system to activate a motor which powers a gear assembly in the electronic lock. An optional manual bypass allows an operator to override the electronic access. When the lock is activated, the operator manually cranks a lock shaft to lock and unlock a storage unit. A controller selectively operates the motor to move the gear assembly in a linear direction. The gear assembly engages a first portion of a drive assembly with a second portion, to permit manual operation of the lock shaft to lock and unlock the storage unit. An optional modular chassis assembly includes a removable array of components for testing, maintenance and repair. The invention includes a system for operation of the electronic lock, a method of operating the electronic lock and software for operating the electronic lock.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2012Date of Patent: May 30, 2017Assignee: WESKO LOCKS LTD.Inventors: Theodore Ullrich, John McLeod, Tonino Sabelli, Dean Dipietro, Pepin Gelardi

Patent number: 8616031Abstract: An electronic lock is interchangeable with mechanical locks in retrofit applications or as an OEM lock. The lock includes interchangeable modular components. The lock housing is interchangeable with other housings of different configurations to permit replacement of existing mechanical locks. The lock may also include interchangeable drivers for compatibility with other systems. The lock includes an electronic access system such as a programmable keypad or card reader to activate a motor which powers the electronic lock. An optional manual bypass allows an operator to override the electronic access, for example when the motor is inoperative. When the lock is activated, the operator manually cranks a lock shaft to lock and unlock a storage unit. An optional modular chassis assembly includes a removable array of components for testing, maintenance and repair.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2012Date of Patent: December 31, 2013Assignee: Wesko Systems LimitedInventors: Theodore Ullrich, John McLeod, Tonino Sabelli, Dean Dipietro, Pepin Gelardi

Patent number: 8414218Abstract: A traveled path marker on a riding vehicle marks a path that the vehicle has traveled with dry particles or liquid from a holder on the vehicle. The marking material flows from a nozzle located near a bottom of the vehicle, or is delivered to a tire which transfers the marking material to the pavement. The path marking alerts following vehicles to an ahead slower moving vehicle or to the paths regularly traveled by slower moving vehicles and encourages similar vehicles to follow those paths. The marked paths also alert pedestrians to shared paths or when crossing bicycle paths.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2010Date of Patent: April 9, 2013Inventors: Pepin Gelardi, Teresa Herrmann, Paul Gelardi
