  • Publication number: 20130168375
Abstract: A method of automatically setting a welding parameter for MIG/MAG welding including the following steps: initiating (S1) a parameter setting welding operation; detecting (S2) a response welding current at a present wire feed speed during said parameter setting welding operation; determining (S4) a first function mapping said response welding current to said set wire feed speed; determining (S7) a desired wire feed speed from said first function and said desired welding current.

  • Publication number: 20130161302
Abstract: A method of automatically setting a welding parameter for MIG/MAG welding including the following steps:—initiating (S1) a parameter setting welding operation;—measuring (S12) a welding voltage and retrieving (S13) a parameter representing a wire feed speed during said parameter setting welding operation; and—identifying (S14) a second function mapping said welding current to said welding voltage from said measured welding voltage and said retrieved parameter.

  • Publication number: 20110056923
Abstract: A welding power supply (1) for supply of current to a welding electrode (2), and a method and a computer program for controlling such a welding power supply is described. The welding power supply (1) comprises an output (3) for output of current from the welding power supply (1), and a control unit (9) for controlling the welding power supply (1). The control unit (9) is arranged to control the welding power supply (1) to supply current to the output (3) in the form of a series of alternating positive current pulses (11), having a positive top value (Imax+), and negative current pulses (12), having a negative top value (Imax), and to lower the current in the current pulses from the negative top value (Imax) and the positive top value (Imax+) to a negative switch value (Ix?) and a positive switch value (Ix+), respectively, before switch between a positive current pulse (11) and a negative current pulse (12).

  • Publication number: 20090302014
Abstract: The present invention refers to a control method and welding equipment for MIG/MAG-welding with presence of short-circuiting droplets between an electrode end and a workpiece. The method comprises establishment of a short-circuiting time, establishment of an arc time, and controlling the energy supplied to the electrode. The energy supply is controlled in such a way that the energy supply is increased if a measured short-circuiting time of a total period time, where the period time is the sum of the short-circuiting time and the arc time, exceeds a defined adjustable set value and decreases if said short-circuiting percentage goes below said set value.

  • Publication number: 20070175876
Abstract: A welding method for gas metal arc welding is provided with continuous electrode feeding and control for short arc welding and/or spray arc welding and also short pulsing in which the control cyclically alternates between short pulsing and short arc or spray arc welding, and time for carrying out the respective control being programmed by a user. A welding power source and software for carrying out this method are also provided.

  • Patent number: 4280366
Abstract: A gas driven and gas lubricated gyroscope, especially for low pressure and vacuum operation, comprising a spherical rotor and spherical bearing formed by two bearing half parts joined along mating equatorial plane surfaces, at least one of the bearing half parts being provided with driving gas inlet channels formed into the equatorial surface. The bearing half parts also comprise spaces for draining the driving gas from the turbine blades of the rotor.
