According to one embodiment, the technique may be realized as a method for providing data objects prior to call establishment. The method may comprise the steps of: initiating, by a first user equipment, a communication session with a second user equipment; transmitting a request from the first user equipment to a phonepage server prior to an establishment of the communication session; causing a data object to be created in response to the request and based at least in part on a user profile associated with the second user equipment; and causing the data object to be transmitted to the second user equipment for rendering thereon in connection with the communication session.

It per forms this task by initially establishing at least one known and trusted identity “seed”. The data server uses the trusted identity seed, in conjunction with information regarding calls placed in the circuit-switched communication network, to derive additional user identities. Further, a user device may encrypt its secret identification number before transmitting it to the data server to maintain the secrecy of this information.
