Abstract: A vessel to recover material in the form of oil and timber from the surface or bottom of the sea comprises a conveyor, which projects down below the water level and is mounted to the vessel in an elevatable manner in order to enable variation of the level of the lower portion of the conveyor in dependence upon the level on which the material to be recovered is present. The conveyor is pivotably mounted to the vessel about an axis extending generally horizontally and transversely to the longitudinal direction of the vessel.
